Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
andiesikes This movie was far better than the first "Unfriended," despite the fact the two films aren't related in anyway, other than the fact that the films are both shot from a computer and a group of friends get picked off one by one during a skype call. Now It's not as horrible as the first one because the premis doesn't seem as ridiculous..The dark web is a real place where there are sick people that are willing to pay to be able to watch innocent victims get tortured or murdered. It seems more realistic than a ghost stalking and harassing people via Facebook and Skype. However, this movie does still fall short. Frankly, It's quite boring. You really don't care about the characters, and they make stupid choices. I felt like I was just waiting to watch the next character die one by one because I knew that's all that was going to happen. It seemed like lazy writing overall..a group of kids get targeted by people on the deep web and get killed off just because. It's a fun movie to watch with friends at your apartment so you can laugh at all the stupid writing and cringe and the few violent scenes but I wouldn't waste your money on seeing it in theaters.
vengeance20 Seen this tonight at a late showing & was blown away by how intense this film was!Seen the first Unfriended back in May 2015 & was impressed by it! Then a sequel was announced, but not mentioned too much, or seemed to have little to nothing happening in terms of its progress. But like Gallows 2, (with it not only being a Blumhouse Film also sequel to a 2015 original called The Gallows) it was filmed in secret & to be released to UK cinemas on the 10th August 2018! I at first took this with a pinch of salt & never thought it would get the cinematic release it did! I thought due to how low key it was, that it would get a DVD release...! How wrong I was...!The film is about a young man who steals a laptop which is connected to the Deep Web, the killer in the deep web is part of a abduction racket which lures people in to play sadistic games with them, manipulating the victims & then deviously making them out to be the perpetrators using devious, yet manipulative tactics by abusing the tools of the internet & computer alone!Well I went to see it & must say I was gripped from start to finish! The film was epic as hell in so many levels! The story-line this time around is more complex & I must admit, a little bit confusing, but hey it's s set up from Unfriended as it has more to think about & keeps you locked in!I won't spoil to much but the deaths in this film were pretty creative & unique! I loved the dark twisted nature of the film as well, how devious the killer was in manipulating the characters! The way the killer was so creative & calculating was just amazing! This sequel gives you more to think about! But I did feel the story was some what confusing & a tad bit hard to understand! But overall, this sequel was insane & epic as hell! Go watch it! 10/10
matthewmvpbilodeau I never saw the first Unfriended movie, and although it looked really good, I did not know what to expect out of this sequel. I didn't expect it to be good at all, and at first I thought my initial predictions were right. But after a very slow beginning, the movie picked up and got really intense...if your looking for a scary movie, this isn't for you. But if your looking for a crazy and intense movie that is pretty good and has an interesting plot, then you will thoroughly enjoy this like my gf and I did
SuperSlim451 While it holds the same sort of premise as the first with the whole computer screen view it is not like the first movie. The first one kind of sucked with all the super natural stuff going on in it. This one was more grounded in realism which helps it a lot and distinguishes it from the first one. Don't expect a magical experience that you'll walk away from thinking you have to see this again but you can expect to go away from it with a thought that this movie was not that bad at all. Kind of interesting and it might be worth watching a second time just to try to catch any minor small details you might have missed watching it the first time. Ir sort of creates that affirmation that the dark web is rather dark and not something to tread lightly in.So if you're looking for a movie that's not exactly horror but more thriller with some dark overtones and can spare about an hour and a half then this is the one to catch.
