Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
sinnister-32365 I gave it a 10 just because it was filmed in my hometown. I still see the flat black 75 nova driving around town once in awhile. Its a decent film. I like the killer car idea. Reminds me on the movie The Car.
alfredogarciajr2004 Well, I was expecting a Christine type plot where the car is possessed by an evil entity not a squid/octopus looking sort of creature. I did like parts of it however. The creature/car integration effects were good. I found the end surprising in that there were more of these Super Hybrids out there and they seemed on taking revenge for the loss one of their species. Did the doomed one communicate telepathically upon dying and contact the others? This was not clear to me. Also, not enough explanation of the creature's origin. It just showed up. What made it turn into a car as opposed to some other shape? Lots of questions, but thanks for keeping me somewhat entertained. :-)
gavin6942 Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident...This film comes from writer Benjamin Carr. How much his idea translated well on the screen I suppose is a matter of debate. But Carr is an experienced writer. He has over 30 projects under his belt, including some Hellraiser sequels, the "13 Ghosts" remake and one of my favorite films -- "Head of the Family". So, if I have to fault anyone, I am not blaming Carr. But someone must be blamed... because this film just came up short. A good idea, some gore, some action, a decent cast (Oded Fehr is great). But it just did not hold my attention as well as it should have, and I nodded off a few times. And the very premise of a squid that can mimic a car? That makes no sense. An alien maybe or an evil creation from a mad scientist... but not this. And how does it compare to "Christine" or "Maximum Overdrive"? Well, it just does not come close. "Christine" is a modern classic and "Overdrive" is bad, but bad in such a way that you have to love it (if you can see it in a theater full of horror fans, the experience will never be forgotten). This one... I do not see it going anywhere but into the memory hole. Sorry.
kosmasp ... movie? I think I meant something else, but having watched this at the Fantasy Film Festival I can tell you there is a reason why it has not been released yet. And it's not anything positive either. On the other hand, this could be the perfect party movie (I won't say ever though). A movie to rival your favorite "It's so bad, it is actually fun to watch" movie.I'm not sure if the actors would like to have that on their CV (especially Oded F., who is the most recognizable after all), but then again they played in it, shouldn't they know what they did? Then again with CG and editing maybe they don't. And it all looks and feels very ridiculous. Dialogue is ... well let's say another part of the whole "Party" feeling. The strangest thing is, that the movie tries to play it straight, when in fact it is so ridiculous ... If that was on purpose, than I might have underestimated it ...
