Absolutely Fantastic

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

In an almost uncanny repeat of its mishandling of Firefly, FOX gave us Almost Human... and then taketh it away. This show was terrific, featuring an excellent cast, timely themes, and a near-future setting that was just enough "wow" without too much "whatever". The loss of this series just 13 episodes in left a tragic gap in current sci-fi television that has not been filled since.

Is both this show and my review.Having already watched it through once before and starting again, and looking at the reviews I'm baffled as to why it was cancelled. Apparently there was too much information that some of the head honchos thought it likely people wouldn't jump on board.Wish they'd bring it back

Besides showing possibilities of how police may do surveillance and also arrest suspects using futuristic technology, the shows writers have given the main characters a fantastic report with each other. The comedic responses of the android to his human partner are really funny and give the audience time to enjoy the comraderie between them. The acting of the cast is top notch. Special effects are used convincingly. The "Almost Human" writers, let us see a display of empathy that seemed to have evolved into the Android partner. The writers contrast that with the obvious prejudice in the human counterparts of the show. The writers of the show, have left the audience with a picture of man in the future, still suffering from prejudices and jealousy's. I have enjoyed each episode and would I love to see more episodes in the future.

This show is very good, but could not help but noticing - like in Castle/Penny Johnson/ Captain Victoria Gates - where there is a similar role- Lili Taylor/ Captain Sandra Maldonado - really just can't act. All she does is carry on in an angry or disgruntled fashion every time she is on screen.. The only blemish in an otherwise fantastic series. Why this type casting? It does nothing for the series, and, frankly is kinda embarrassing to watch. Appearing annoyed in every scene is not acting, it is distracting. There are many possibilities for this role to be acted ably , adding to the series and not just being a cardboard caricature. Let's please have roles played by characters who add to the show, and are not just there to fill space because someone thinks there absolutely ha to be a surly malcontent there.
