WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
Fluentiama Perfect cast and a good story
Lightdeossk Captivating movie !
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
awagne-29536 Some people are going to love this movie, some people are going to hate it, I'm standing in the gray area in between. The best segments: DGSY The "not quite the best but still very good": HINQT The OK segments: ACEJLMRUVZ The worst: BFKOPWXA few comments on individual segments: Out of all of them, my favorite was 'D is for Dogfight.' It is also the only segment out of the 26 that I felt emotionally moved by. I'm not going to spoil what happens in it but I recommend watching it, even if you don't want to see the other 25. I had a very high opinion of 'G is for Gravity,' though most people who saw it didn't, and I can understand why. That segment was made with practically no budget, even though supposedly the director was given money to make his short film. 'I is for Ingrown' (the title really has nothing to do with the story) is basically an anti- violence PSA. It is very disturbing, but in this case I think it needs to be. 'T is for Toilet' is hilarious but messed up at the same time. This segment is claymation, animated by Lee Hardcastle. Try to imagine Tarantino as a clay-animator; that may be the best way to describe it. I'll also add, it's very unique. 'W is for WTF' was probably the worst out of all of the segments. It literally made no sense, and it was obvious the director didn't know what to do with that letter. My reaction after that part ended was "what was the point?!" 'X is for XXL' was the bloodiest of them all. It has an important message against body- shaming, but the segment itself is so mindlessly gruesome that I feel it took away from the point of it. Lastly, 'Z is for Zetsumetsu' (one of the Japanese segments) was definitely among the weirdest. The plot line was very nonsensical and difficult to follow. And when it was over all I could think was "what the hell was that all about?!"So, some parts are good, others aren't. If you have a morbid sense of humor, you'll probably like it. This movie is, essentially, a mixed bag.
Nancy666 Now I do love an anthology, and a horror movie made up of a sh*t load of shorts is something I just can't miss! Each short is based on a letter of the alphabet... and death. Many of the shorts are interesting and completely out there, some are just WTF and some shouldn't even be classed as any sort of horror. My personal favorites are A, E, L (I know i'm messed up), P and X. The acting is pretty good in each short, but no stand out fails or Oscar worthy performances.Overall I had to give it five because there's so much choice. It's just unfortunate that half of the choices are pretty lame. Give it a go and forward bits that bore you, they probably won't get better.
grantss Novel concept but the result is a mixed bag.The idea of the movie is that 26 different directors each take one letter of the alphabet, and make a short (4-5 minute) death-themed story on it. Segments are shown in order, ie from A to Z, and end with "(whatever) letter is for (something)'.Nice idea, but the execution doesn't quite measure up to the concept. The short stories vary from very clever and interesting to incredibly stupid. Some are clearly made just with shock value, and no narrative, in mind.A very diverse, quality-wise and plot-wise, assortment of stories.Overall, its so-so. There's more bad stories than good, but the overall idea, plus having to only concentrate in 4-5 minute chunks, plus the fun of trying to figure out what the letter stands for each time, balances this out.
EbonWolf I think this is probably the worst thing i've ever seen. The few descent segments are terrible at best, but the rest range from stupid to disorienting to pretentious to outright plagiarism. I gave it a shot and sat through the entire boring and too terrible to laugh at couple of hours, but i gave up on it after the third or fourth poop joke. I want the 129 minutes of my life that i wasted on this "film" back. I suppose i could have forgiven it for being innovative as it claims to be, if it was in fact innovative. The most disappointing thing is the fact that IMDb does not have a '0' star rating. Please for the love of all that is holy, watch something else.
