Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
James Lister The plot is about a B-Star Actor Jill Goddard (Sasha Grey) who is tired of the business she's in and wants out. But feels trapped by her friends and management. Here enters Nick (Elijah Wood) her number one fan who runs a website dedicated to her. After winning a competition to have dinner with her he is later disappointed when a person alleging to be her representative says she cancels the dinner date. Her manager, then gives him the ability to view Jill secretly via her computer and phone. Little does Nick know that he is about to enter a sinister game of cat-and-mouse where nothing-and no one-are what they seem.Described as a 21st Century Rear Window that boasts that it is a unique film that has never been done before. Sadly, it is neither a modern version of a classic nor unique. Yes, voyeurism links both films, but really, that's where the similarities end for me. However, that does not necessarily make this a bad film. In fact, it's pretty a compelling thriller for the first two acts, and then it loses its steam and plausibility by the third act as it takes on an unnecessary Science Fiction element that makes it go a little over the top in my opinion and kind of slightly spoils the ending and the film overall. Although I had a good time watching it. Woods and Grey performances are good, although the former comes off a little pathetic and easily to manipulated at times. Which makes it hard to root for him as he keeps making one bad decision after the next. This isn't a must watch movie for me, but if you do watch it, then I think you will have a good time too. Just don't go into it thinking it's a 21st Century Rear Window because it's not.
Smoreni Zmaj Good idea, but lousy realization. All in all, likable hacker thriller that kept me at the edge of my seat from time to time, but disappointed me with its excessive finale. Nothing in this movie is excellent, but everything is satisfying. I did not predict any of the twists and for me it was pretty much entertaining. Highlight of the movie is scene with lead female character getting naked in front of camera. I have no idea how they persuaded her to lose her clothes, but after so many years of eager anticipation, finally we have a chance, for the first time in a movie, to see Sasha Grey naked. :D <37/10P.S. OK, for the first time in mainstream movie :D :D :D
Pedro Cadeia The title is very attractive, but in my opinion the end product is just a mix of concepts that don't complement each other. "Open Windows" is easy to visualize because it involves suspense and plays with technology such as our everyday devices. The problem is that it doesn't go further into the themes it presents.Once all the action inside the hotel come to an end, the rest seems to go out wildly. Nacho Vigalondo imposes a breakneck pace ... the problem is that history doesn't keep up. At one point, I had to go back a few minutes to see if there was a logical thread connecting everything. I don't consider that the problem is on the technical side but in the text. The concepts are good, but the rest ...It is unfortunate that "Open Windows" waste the potential that its beginning promised.
rlv-748-638019 This is a bad movie. Trust me, a very bad movie. I have to admit I saw only because Sasha Grey had acted , but that's not enough. It failed at every point of a film supposed to success. The plot is bad, the acting is bad ( it is more understandable Sasha Grey but not Elijah Wood) and is very , very predictable .The only thing that is not so bad is the idea of multiple devices that are the screens , but should remain just as an idea not a movie.Producers who thought that people would see just because Sasha Grey was starring , well, they were right ,but obviously we are not going to recommend it.
