SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Ramalingam R Take Me Home - perceptively a divine movie which is kind of rare to get. I absolutely felt Happiness and warmth after watching this brilliant film. The Cast Obviously got their thing. Sam Jaeger and Amber Jaeger definitely got their wonderful chemistry. The whole journey portrayed with a stunning screenplay and cinematography. The plot with the innocent characterization of Thom with hidden personal and claire with the regrettable memories carried us with them. There are no kisses and regular romantic things if you expect. Its a unbound type for a romantic movie. I loved the dialogues during thom's confession for his action when claire was asleep. I really really really had best time while watching this. If you ask me whenever i would say Take me home is one of the best romantic film i have ever seen of my entire life. Sam Jaeger's wonderful debut as director and cast with his wife is really romantic in real time. A true movie that will always be a sweet memory. Best couple in this movie and REAL LIFE too. I am thankful for this movie Jaegers. I LOVE YOU both for this heart melting treat. I wish them to give more like this. Take me home - wonderful in screenplay, cinematography, dialogues, music, casts, locations, direction. THE BEST EVER.
brushu Thought this was a fun "feel good" movie. No spoilers here. It is perfect to watch with the "one" you're closest to right now. If not maybe watch with somebody you'd like to get close to. Good humor, smart dialogue, fair to good acting. Very enjoyable all around. I also thought there were only a couple holes in the script. In other words the script continuity was within reason of being complete. The humor came in various forms. I like sideways subtle humor and there was a fair amount of that plus a little pratfall humor was fun. I did feel some of the drama was somewhat understated given the circumstances in the story. There were no major current social issues addressed. That was refreshing. The movie held respectful to the issues it did present. To top off the review I didn't notice any gratuitous stuff of any kind. For that I give it a ten.
daniellepotter24 One of my favorite movies. Came across it on Netflix and instantly loved it! It doesn't rely on crazy Hollywood theatrics or crazy stunts. It has such a fun, different story line. But it's still relatable. I mean no ones gonna drive cross country in a cab, but we all go through heartbreak, loss, lying, and confusion that these characters are going through. It has such a good mix of many styles. It has great comedy. Some really funny one liners that had me laughing out loud numerous times. It's got some romance, without relying on sex like most Hollywood films. Some sadness that really makes you feel for the characters. Just all around great dialogues, great acting, great story, a great movie!
secondtake Take Me Home (2011)When a movie makes you want to get on the road and see the country, it's doing something right. In classic storytelling fashion, we begin with some quick and disastrous events by two characters who haven't met. Their lives are in various state of ruin (emotional or actual) and when they meet--well, the sparks definitely do not fly.But the story begins in earnest. And what is a short drive around New York transforms into the main idea of the movie. And of course the two have to find a way to get along, which involves slowly coming to understand each other mostly by letting their own old habits and presumptions fade away. The leads are actually a married couple, Sam and Amber Jaeger, and Sam is the director and writer (and producer), so yes, it's a home brew movie. But it's shot with the high end Red digital camera and it feels fully professional. And more important, the acting by these two leads, who dominate the movie completely, is terrific. You feel where both of them are coming from, and when they change it makes sense. The details of the story sometimes dip into obvious or slightly unbelievable zones. Every now and then the dialog is a hair off kilter. And maybe there could have been a slight shift in pace to keep the flow flowing. It's not a masterpiece, surely, but they know that, too. It doesn't have those kinds of ambitions. What "Take Me Home" aims for is a light, believable sincerity, a sweetness that we all recognize and sometimes need, and which doesn't get too too sugary. And on that level it's a really enjoyable movie. And it really does make you want to hit the road.
