Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

teatiger If you like movies such as Air Bud, and Top Dog, this movie falls in between. There is a decent story line. Decent action through out. And just enough suspense to keep adults interested, yet the kids don't get lost. Not too 'adult', and not too 'kiddie'. As well as just enough humor/comedy/suspense to keep everyone happy. A decent script. Under-rated acting. And the plot actually makes sense. The story line flows fairly evenly. Why can't more movies follow this simple formula? All of my family really liked this movie. We plan on watching it again. We even hope there is a sequel.

Saturnfly I loved this movie, and I have pretty much grown far from liking children's movies, as adults you notice every single flaw and imperfection, but this movie is so different from the others I have seen. It was a personal film, I felt remorse for the characters, I liked them, not to mention the biggest most talented actor in this film, the dog.Of course it was predictable, but it doesn't matter, if you're bored with your kids at home on a chilly day, I definitely would recommend this film. Overall, I thought the acting was terrific, the characters unique and original, the story cute and VERY funny. This is a brilliant wee masterpiece.

supersabref100 I just finished watching Firehouse Dog and curious I checked it's IMDb score. I couldn't believe how low it was. IMDb scoring is ridiculous. Priates of Caribbean: At World's End is rated high while this film is rated so low. What's the deal with that? Makes no sense. Other than a few stupid dog fart jokes this movie is funny and engaging both for children and adults. Enough action in the movie even to make a Die Hard fan like myself watch it with the younglings and be entertained and moved. Do not believe the IMDb film score this is a VERY GOOD Family film which parents will enjoy as well. And that's coming from some one who is driven crazy by most kids movies.

dbborroughs Spoiled pooch finds love and life with a kid who's dad is a fireman.How many times have we been there and done that? Low level family film is good for undemanding three or four year olds since odds are they're the only ones who won't have seen it all before. Not bad but why would anyone rationally (me included) subject themselves to the film? Okay the trailer looked okay, but as they say anyone can take 90 minutes of a movie and make it look good. As I said the problem is that unless you've been hiding under a rock you've seen this type of thing before. Add an unimaginative director and a cast that isn't spectacular and you have a movie that really isn't worth bothering with.
