InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
mss-14370 Batman under the red rood is the ultimate batman movie. I really wish they adapt this story into a live action movie, and that for so many reasons, not just for nostalgia or being a fan-boy. This time batman face somebody with a compelling motive of killing, that will make batman question whether he has to kill or not.Pros +Red Hood! +Batman/Nightwing +Batman/Robin flashbacks +Bruce Wayne/Alfred +The Joker +Action +EndingOverall: 10/10 a perfect superhero film! highly recommended for all comic books fans
Jesper Brun Batman: Under the Red Hood is just an awesome piece of animated perfection! I felt invested in it throughout, because it had great voice acting, pacing, dialog and a fitting musical score. Batman and Robin's relationship and experiences in the past is shown very well in some creatively rendered flashbacks. John DiMaggio's Joker is certainly among the best animated ones. It's not Hamil's Joker, but definitely ranking in my top 5. The movie utilizes a perfect mix of traditionally animated characters and mostly CG backgrounds which made the action scenes seem real and still kept the comic book feel to it. Really good. The climax is simply amazing! Great build-up and even greater pay- off. My only complaint is that the ending felt a little abrupt, but up until that you're in for one heck of a ride. You won't be disappointed.
DCfan I borrowed this movie from my friend at school who is a massive DC fan. He recommended me this movie and I watched it the night when I came back from my swimming lesson. If you are a fan of Jason Todd then you will love this movie but be warned ahead during his resurrection it is pretty scary and you wouldn't be able to sleep for one night.I also find it funny that Jason Todd as a teenager is voiced by the same voice actor as Phineas. My favorite scene is where Joker is throwing petrol over Black Mask and when Jason Todd forces Bruce to either kill the Joker or him by saying this "IT'S HIM OR ME DECIDE NOW!". He shots a bullet out of the gun Batman dodges it and throws a Batarang at the gun which makes it explode. Overall this was a good movie with great voice actors especially Bruce Greenwood and Jensen Ackles and if you haven't seen this movie and you are Batman fan then I have to say one thing. You don't know what your missing.
dissident320 This one right out of the gate is quite dark. I liked that a darker tone was set which ends up making sense for the story later on. I had looked up the cast prior to watching it and it made me question if these actors can handle these roles. I think for the most-part the answer is yes. Bruce Greenwood does a fine job as Batman without trying to sound like Kevin Conroy or overly macho. Neil Patrick Harris I wish had a bit more to do and part of me wonders if it might have been better if he swapped roles and played Red Hood instead of Nightwing. It's probably because of Doctor Horrible but I think he would have brought a bit more to the role than Jensen Ackles. John DiMaggio does okay as the Joker although I did find him slipping into Mark Hamill's Joker here and there especially when he was laughing. The story I quite liked and without spoiling anything is enjoyable despite not surprising me much. It had a consistent tone and the contrast of violence and the parallels of the Red Hood to the Joker made for a satisfying conclusion.
