Dotsthavesp I wanted to but couldn't!
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
spmcginnis4210 If Jim Carry had not done this first you would have a 10/10 for Neil. I can't watch this and not pick it apart (Jim would have killed this or that) in the event that Jim takes this series over...the series wouldn't be so unfortunate. It used to be unfortunately excellent...
Mayank Agarwal Among the best series for kids out there even though it's a Black Comedy, very different from anything else you have seen. I loved watching it with my 9 & 12-year-old nephews. More focused towards the young crowd but does have something for the adults too with its hilarious over the top plots in an illogical world. The plot revolves around Count Olaf trying to steal a fortune from Baudelaire orphans after their parents perish in a fire. It's a treat to watch them save themselves with their intellect and Count Olaf cooking up new schemes to get it. The adults in this world are outrageously dumb. The casting and their performance cannot be more perfect. Neil Patrick Harris is amazing with the various disguises and accents he pulls off. Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes are outstanding as Violet and Klaus. The unique narration style by Patrick Warburton has its own sophisticated charm. The makeup & music is the best there is on the small screen. I am really looking forward to Season Three. The review is for both Season One & Two.
calebaldwinner Based on the popular children's novels by Lemony Snicket, this Netflix Original does a marvelous job at capturing the essence of the book. Compared to the film of the same name in 2004 this version is extremely different bringing a Wes Anderson like style that fits perfectly to the books are. Giving the thought and detail into making roughly around 8-10 episodes 0 minutes long covering a book in two episodes is what this property needed. Now we can get better plot and character development in the show and get a sense of it being more of a series with it having 3 seasons leaving each season and/or set of episodes in a cliff hanger. I hope they will keep up the good work in the final season and finish off with a bang and mystery for all of the viewers.
dooberdoober While this while this is obviously exceedingly excellent in comparison to the movie, the comedy spin NPH pt on this series was disappointing. It could have been terrific if it weren't for that. If these episodes were more dark and dreary instead of lighthearted I would have given this 10 starts but unfortunately it severely affected the series. Additionally I don't think NPH was th right choice for Olaf but I guess as the producer he was more concerned with his fame and not what would have been best for the series.
