Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film

Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

angelacere I've watched the show since I was in kindergarten. It never crossed my mind that it's black and white. It is the best show. It's got so much history. Lucy was the reason I got into comedy. She's an inspiration. Desi is an inspiration for me as well. It never gets old. It'll never go away and we're not gonna let it.

OllieSuave-007 This might be an old black and white TV series from the 1950s, but it has definitely stood well through the test of times. Comedian Lucille Ball stars as Lucy Ricardo, the wife of Cuban Bandleader Ricky Ricardo (Desi Arnaz) who wants to become a star like her husband and, as a result, would get herself in the oddest of situations. She also makes life frantic in the apartment building she and Ricky share with landlords Fred and Ethel Mertz (William Frawley and Vivian Vance).This show has a combination of just the right amount of witty humor and slapstick comedy - tastefully done which sends side-splitting laughter to everyone. The timing of Lucille's comic relief is impeccable and her facial expressions in every frustrated, odd or comedic situation are just perfect. From Lucy's buzzed Vitameatavegamin episode to the chocolate-wrapping fiasco, and from her grape-stomping fight to her bread-making disaster, it's a TV-series in a league of its own! Grade A

aznfratboy1 The best ever, I Love Lucy is the original sitcom. The one that came before every other sitcom. It was simple, no sex, no violence, nothing like that, just a woman who wants to become the best she potentially can, but in the process realising that she probably cannot, but going through hilarious adventures trying to, and that's what viewers ultimately watch.Today we have Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men etc etc, and as good as they are, they are not SITUATIONAL comedies, they are merely a bunch of guys throwing insults and making dirty jokes to each other, and as much as I like them, nothing can top the quality and the golden standard I Love Lucy set WAY back in the 1950's.There simply will never be a TV show that will ever top this one...

They live next door with their landlords Ethel Mertz(Vivian Vance) and Fred Mertz(Bill Frawly). And, when it comes to Lucy Ricardo, there's no stopping the memorable laughs! Now, let me introduce you to two of 10 of my favorite episodes...Lucy Does a TV Commercial- Lucy gets drunk from Vitavetavigimin during a commercial shooting. Every time she drinks that stuff, she becomes more and more loopy! I couldn't stop laughing! Home Movies- During a showing of Ricky's "Home Movies" many clips are mixed in with his song. And when it got to the point where the movie was going backwards and fast-forwarded, I almost laughed my head off! You'll love Lucy, Ricky, Ethel, and Fred in the classic TV series "I Love Lucy"! I guarantee you'll be laughing so hard, you'll fall out of your seats! I recommend this show to anyone who loves Lucy! 1000000/10
