Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
bheadher Eureka was simply fun to watch, I can't say it any other way. From the pilot onward, you had no idea what would come up next, and I think that is why it had a really good fan base...It's not a crime show, not a sitcom, not a mystery show either...Eureka is a mixmaster of all those genres, whith a healthy dose of scifi sprinkled all over it for flavor...it is simply a very entertaining show, period...what e heck, it's wholesome entertainment too !!!Eureka had the dry, witty humor that I like, and the often bizarre stories were very well written by writers with crazy imaginations. You grow to love a small town that doesn't exist to the world in general, populated with the most bizarre collection of genius grade scientists ever...Like I said, it was and is still fun to watch, IF you can ever find it again...I frankly don't understand why it never went into syndication...
TownRootGuy Talk about a freakin' shame! This show just got better with every season! How did it not get at least a couple more seasons? This has great eye candy, good FX, an excellent cast AND the funny is brilliant, genius even. Eureka is a must see for geeks, nerds and egg-heads. This is a fantastic show and I can watch it every 2 - 3 years.
Ben Hinman Eureka is a somewhat unremarkable but entertaining show. The carbohydrates of television. The premise unique, but its not especially spectacular in its execution and their format is more episodic, though on occasion it does develop a deeper plot line and overall story arc, but the main focus is on weekly episodes with their "gadget of the week gone wrong" formula. But nonetheless they've got their own style, chemistry among the cast, and an entertaining amount of jokes and sticky situations, and they're pretty creative about the technology, which is the main focus of their show, and it does keep it interesting enough for some light viewing. As far as the science goes, they seem to understand the basics but its not like the show is made by actual scientists, its writers, a base level understanding is all they have, but luckily all they need to make some entertaining television. Its not a must view, but its a fun way to spend a weekend if you got nothing else. Its not even hit and miss either, the show has never shined but never really failed either, its always been in that middle ground for me the entire time it was running.
smoke13 This may well be one of the greatest shows that has ever graced TV goers pallets. Some of the very best casting and writing out of any TV show to date has gone into this series. For example, take into account the way the writers wrapped up the series with very little notice. Warehouse 13, it's closest competitor, went out on a sad note. But somehow eureka kept minds wondering about the future. Even will Wheaton has hinted at a comeback, even as a gag.If you're a die hard wh13 addict, such as I, this show will not disappoint. As prior military, you may have to give it an episode or two, but this show is simply amazing. I picked up during a hiatus of wh13 seasons and was slow to catch on, but I was quickly impressed. Collin Ferguson is one of the most diverse actors ever and will draw your attention, and quick. Enough said that he's doing Maytag commercials now. The highlight of his career was most certainly eureka and he deserves much more. I even stayed tune for the entire lake placid 3 just because of him!Zoe carter turned from one of the most annoying characters ever to one of the most beloved and addored. These are all just examples, mind you, of some of the best writed characters in television history. They even brought back Wesley crusher, aka, will Wheaton! Jaime paglia is a genius, enough said. And his accolades can all be attributed to eureka. If you're a fan of any star trek franchise, watch eureka. In some aspects, it's essentially the alpha of star trek. Not to be confused with the horrible show, alphas. Not to mention, if you're a wh13 fan, you will settle in nicely and end up being more of a fan of eureka. Partially due to the fantastically hideous end wh13 had in the last few seasons.Paired with the amazing holiday specials anyone in the family can enjoy, plus the ongoing gags fitted into nearly every episode, eureka has something every member of your family will enjoy. My wife is opposed to sci-fi more the a prisoner to the holocaust but this show snagged her up each episode and she couldn't wait til the next.Of course syfy (or sci-fi as I remember it as a kid) is way to busy with shows like makeup this or costume that. They've lost touch with their inner child thanks to the comcasts buy out. They've cancelled a show that's worth a million sharkquakes or whatever they have in store next.I've been watching you since you're original science fiction 3000; why would you torture me with the cancellation of this amazing show?!
