Reviews

Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
abalpn-99472 I've watched the episodes online and I loved the show. I was sad to hear that Alan Young passed away. He was great playing Scrooge McDuck. I love all the characters. My favorites are Launchpad and Gizmo Duck. I watched the Ducktales movie and I loved it. Christopher Lloyd played Merlock and he did a great job as the villain. The villains in the show were hilariously funny. Especially the Beagle Boys. The monsters were scary just like the one from the Bermuda Triangle and the giant walrus.I've played the original Nintendo games. Ducktales and Ducktales 2. Now I have Ducktales:Remastered. It's too bad that they didn't made a sequel ever since Alan Young's passing.I've watched the rebooted Ducktales online and they did a good job with it. I know they wanted a new generation with the viewers. I would think that the Ducktales fans enjoy watching it. In conclusion, Ducktales is still my favorite Disney cartoon.
moviecritichank-7 DuckTales is another one of the many great Disney (and overall) cartoons that came on in the late 80's-90's. It is about the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, millionaire tycoon of Duckburg and his three nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie who are always getting into trouble and out of it thanks to friends like Webby Vanderquack, Gyro Gearloose, and Launchpad McQuack. As a kid, I didn't watch this until the re-runs came on Disney Channel in the mid-to-late 90's, and I loved every episode! It has all the elements of "true" Disney: action, adventure, suspense, mystery, great stories, great characters, great animation, great villains like Magica de Spell and the Beagle Boys, great music, and an awesome theme song which I often find myself humming at the randomest times!!! As a kid, I also enjoyed "Darkwing Duck," "Chip and Dale's Rescue Ranger's," "Goof Troop," "TaleSpin," and all the other great Disney Afternoon cartoon's the 90's had to offer! This was, (and still is) however, my favorite of them all and easily one of my all-time favorite cartoons!!! I recently bought Volume 1 of this great show and since it has brought back so many nostalgic memories of childhood, I plan on getting Volumes 2-3 and Volumes of the other classic Disney Afternoon cartoons cause the garbage that Disney (with the exception of "Phineas and Ferb"), Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon is shoving down kids throats nowadays is brainwashing and it makes me sick!!! Anyways, back to the awesomeness of DuckTales; some of my favorite episodes are: the one where Scrooge and the boys have to save Donald from the spell of an evil mummy, the one where Launchpad and the boys accidentally get launched into space, the one where Gyro made those giant robots designed to help the city and the Beagle Boys use them to destroy it and, well, you get the idea!!! I love this cartoon!!! The movie "DuckTales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp" was pretty cool too!!! Rating: 10/10!!!
furienna I first watched this show back in 1991 and 1992, when I was only seven years old. This was only season 2 though, you know, the episodes with Bubba and Fenton/Gizmoduck. I've never gotten that much into season 1, and for many years, I didn't even know, that an earlier season even existed, because that season was shown on a different channel, which I didn't even have until years later. But even as a little girl, I really liked season 2. The boys in my class must have liked it too, because I remember them building Gizmoduck figurines out of some kind of building kit. And they must have re-enacted the episodes from TV too, because I specifically remember them quoting Mrs Crackshell "But Fenton, we never spend any time together", except they did it in Swedish, of course.Fortunately, I taped a lot of episodes (though in hindsight, I wish I would have taped even more of them, especially those with Fenton), and I watched them now and then throughout the 90s. And then in early 2002, ten years after these episodes had last been shown on Swedish TV, I watched my old tapes again. And as I now was seventeen years old, going on eighteen, I could see them in a more mature light. And I started thinking "Isn't Fenton cute?" I somehow forgot about it over the summer though, until I watched those tapes again in the fall. And soon enough, it became obvious, that Fenton Crackshell had become one of my cartoon crushes. (Yep, I've had my fair share of those.) I soon managed to get all episodes with him in English, and in 2004, half of these episodes were once again shown on Swedish TV, which allowed to finally tape some of the episodes, that I hadn't had in Swedish before. And even if I disregard Fenton for a moment (okay, that's hard for me, but I'll try), this must be one of the best Disney shows ever. I must agree with the general consensus here. Especially season 2 shows so much quality, that it can entertain adults and children alike. I haven't seen much of season 1, but from the little I've seen of it, it comes across as more childish to me. But of course, since children was the main target group, there's no harm in that. I rate this show (or really, season 2, since I haven't seen much of season 1) 9 out of 10. It could have been a perfect 10, if it hadn't been for two details, which just bother me. One is that Gandra Dee, Fenton's girlfriend, is so wrong for him, that I won't even get started on it here. And the other one is that Webby was so marginalized in season 2. Maybe there were so many characters in the end, that there wasn't much space left for her. But she still lived at the McDuck mansion, right? So they should have shown her more, even if it only had been her playing with Huey, Dewie and Louie, and given her more lines.
deckschrubber I have no clue why they didn't continue making new episodes. Every time i see them again and now i'm 19yrs and i rather watch other stuff (^^) I nearly start to cry after the "old times" Duck Tales was -and i still consider it to be the best Comic series EVER.When I once have children i wouldn't allow them to watch those strange Disney series from nowadays. - if they did new Duck Tales in the old style - i would WANT them to watch it =)So I consider Duck Tales as one of the worthiest memories of my childhood! If someone from Disney reads this... PLEASE THINK OF PRODUCING NEW EPISODES!!! - i don't know ANYONE who doesn't like/love Duck TalesI would vote more than 10 if there was more...regards, Gerald
