AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Stephen Abell This is a nice one for the kids. Luckily for me, I'm a big kid at heart and really liked this film. This compilation of five Christmas Tales hooked me in right from the first story - Belles On Ice. Not because of Minnie or Daisy, but because the Hippo's and Alligators from Fantasia are back, as backing skaters - awesome. It was also nice to see secondary characters turn up, like Scrooge McDuck, whose always been a favourite Disney character of mine; and Goofy's son Max, who I can't remember at all. Each story is well written and animated, as you would expect from Disney. At the start, I wasn't too sure about it being CG, but by the time the Hippo's hit the ice I was loving it so much it was no longer an issue. It was also nice to see they've also brought back the moral ending. This is a good thing and one of the reasons I would recommend this movie for kids.
mwcrunner This is a pretty good sequel to the first Mickey Christmas movie but one thing that gets me down about this is that Max is no longer with Roxanne but with some other girl and it makes me upset. That makes me want to write a letter to Disney and tell them to make a sequel to a Goofy Movie and one that will be better then an Extremely Goofy Movie and I saw that that movie got horrible reviews. Oh well at least we get to see Max and Roxanne together in House of Mouse. This movie has pretty good stories in it just like the first one did anyway. Still wish that Max was with Roxanne in this though. Oh well at least I have my imagination and in my imagination Max and Roxanne get married and live together. I also drew that on Deviantart.com.
LBytes This isn't your father's Disney. The original Disney franchise players now reside in the Land Where Everyone is Nice, preschool toons rendered in kiddie-grade Pixarish 3D. Mickey always was a little wimpy but even Donald has been completely Dippified with the Evil Daisy Duck browbeating him at every opportunity. He was a WWII hero for chrissakes, selling War Bonds to defeat the Nazis! Goofy has become a caricature of himself and his goofiness has been choreographed to a perfect death, Huey Dewey & Louie can't stay conniving for more than 30 seconds without guilt spoiling it all, while Pluto would be better off on Animal Control's 3 Day Plan. Its not pretty, what they've done to these old Toons. The only way to reclaim my interest after this would be Donald doing his popular 'Who's Your Daddy?' with Daisy sparking his enthusiasm. I'd like to see someone with a duckbill pull that off They could've made it an Easter egg, being ducks after all. I can give this one a 7 because kids like it. They don't know any better.
imdbrwd I know the 3-D/CGI worshippers will dislike my heresy, but if ever there was a place NOT to use CGI, this is it. Most of these characters have been around for almost 75 years in their hand-drawn form, and that's what made them special. There was no need to re-make our favorites into what looks like plastic McDonald's toys, and these should be stuffed back into the bag (Santa's?). I'm glad I finally found a place to rent a copy rather than buying one, and it's obvious that the rental houses agree with my assessment, as I had to check on Netflix, two Blockbusters, and one Hollywood video before I could find a lone copy at a third Blockbuster. Please Disney, don't fix what ain't broke.
