Synopsis

Hotshot gambler Jake Green is long on bravado and seriously short of common sense. Rarely is he allowed in any casino because he's a bona fide winner and, in fact, has taken so much money over the years that he's the sole client of his accountant elder brother, Billy. Invited to a private game, Jake is in fear of losing his life.

Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
ShangLuda Admirable film.
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
crossfiregr1 It is not that I am looking for an easy movie. I love movies that make your mind work and don't just serve you the food on a plate. But this one goes an extra step (or five). It is not an easy movie and it is not for everyone.
adonis98-743-186503 After seven years in solitary, Jake Green is released from prison. In the next two years, he amasses a lot of money by gambling. He's ready to seek his revenge on Dorothy (Mr. D) Macha, a violence-prone casino owner who sent Jake to prison. He humiliates Macha in front of Macha's lieutenants, leaves, and keels over. Doctors tell him he has a rare disease and will die in three days; Macha also puts a hit out on him. Loan sharks, Zack and Avi, demand Jake's cash and complete fealty in return for protection. Jake complies, and through narration and flashbacks, we watch him through at least three days of schemes, danger, and redemption. Who is his greatest enemy? As much as i love Jason Statham this is easily one of his worst films it has an interesting concept for sure but after a pretty good and strong opening the film looses it's way out and it becomes boring with pretty much nothing really interesting happening if you love Guy Ritchie and his films or Statham you might be disappointed a lot 5/10
chickenpek Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham collaborate once again with a huge cast of mostly action bloke films. While this is absolutely still a bloke film this one is quite different from your average Ritchie film and I have to admit I find myself impressed with the acting range shown by the entire cast but a shout out to Statham who was a real performance surprise and absolutely to Ray Liotta who hit all of his marks perfectly.I hope more film makers see this film as a new benchmark for the two actors so they may be cast in a few more interesting rolls.I enjoyed it and hope you guys do as well when you get around to seeing it.
andrew-tischler I've always liked the pace and cinematography of Guy Ritchie's movies, but did not expect the bigger work presented in Revolver.Really an all-star cast and a welcome interpretation of, I suspect, core personal work that has been explored for centuries. The representations and trickiness of ego, vice, "Gold" are compelling and helpful.I can understand why Ritchie's core viewership would rebel against the movie, and see it as not having a typically expected storyline, and resulting anger and disappointment. However, for those who are interested, this could be a compelling work that will be watched over and over again, and, may be of help in one's work to face and engage with the ego, and other human foibles.Thankful to have stumbled upon the film and hopeful that he produces another one of similar subject matter.
