what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

I've been a fan of Salman and Sonam a long time, and hoped for some funny and entertaining movie. The result is far from that, I guess some moments work, like when Sonam convinces the sisters to give Vijay a chance, but already the characters don't catch your interest, it's Salman and Sonam so you don't stop the movie right now, but they don't develop as they should as characters that hold your breath until the end of the movie. The story (once the swap with the prince is done) gets boring fast, and the action scenes are not remarkable. Potential spoiled as I'm sure Salman/Sonam can bring good moments together.

As has been mentioned this is a take on the Prince and the Pauper story that may not appeal to those who are into art films and like to sit around discussing and dissecting a film's philosophical nuances. If, on the other hand, you simply like a fun story, gorgeous sets, and yes, the occasional over-the-top scene, this can be a thoroughly enjoyable tale of a man who is willing to put the woman he loves ahead of himself. I speak neither Hindi nor Punjabi, so I can only go by what I read into the English subtitles, and the first ones I had were out of sync by 20 to 60 seconds which was a bit confusing to say the least, but after obtaining a proper sub file I enjoyed the show.

It's my first review and i know i am posting after long time.I was like you peoples who always watch movies on review or rating basis.Because of bad reviews and against reviews, i never wanted to watch itbut affection for salman khan, made me watch this movie. After watching, i was really shocked because of reviews against this movie. It is one of the best movie of salman khan. It is must watch movie specially for families or those who watch movies with family. I recommend everyone to watch this movie and don't go for the wrong reviews. It has great love,harmony and Mutuality story. A great acting by salman khan and sonam kapoor. Sooraj you Rock man !
