GL84 Upon arriving at an island resort, the staff finds that several members and guests are turning up dead, they try to keep it from the guests who are there to enjoy the hedonistic lifestyle promoted on the island while trying to find the identity of the killer and stop their rampage.This is really the way a horror-comedy should be like. What really makes this one so much fun is the fact that in spite of how most spoofs are more comedy than horror, this is a horror movie with some comedy. It keeps the traditional merging of the slasher genre with the mixture of enough laughable gags that's never unrealistic or way over the top to really make it seem more like it belongs in the horror genre than comedy. This lets on for a ton of fun from a race through a maze dressed up as fruit, the sequence where one guest frantically works to get a getaway vehicle to escape the killer, only to find out it goes under five miles an hour allowing the killer to walk up to it and kill them is a fantastic scene which reveals in complete irony and actual tension as well as the series of confrontations in the jungle as the killer stalks after them around the resort as the attacks by the pool, inside the main hall and out along the jungle courses come complete with all the usual angles and close-ups that are frequently utilized for generating suspense as well as engaging in laughs. This all comes from the story itself which is a great setup for one of these efforts as it's full of surprises and excellent plot twists as you keep guessing who is the killer. It does come as a great shock at the end, and it works as the mystery is very well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat. There's a pretty decent sized body count on display here for a horror-comedy, keeping it bloody quite often and giving it more of a slasher feel to the proceedings with the string of vicious and exceptionally violent kills that are still somewhat hilarious in the concept of their use. There's also the rather fun finale here that goes overboard with the chasing to the final encounter and all the different battles that are more comedic than scary but still fit well within the confines of the story. There wasn't much of anything to really dislike about this one. It's mostly just a case-by-case basis, as the majority of things on display will appeal to certain people rather than others. Very rarely is there a case of individual preference in these films, but this is one of them as the overkill in the final half might be one of these issues. Overall, this was a very pleasant and surprisingly good film.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Extreme Graphic Language, Nudity, several sex scenes and drug use.

trashgang When you combine horror and comedy mostly things doesn't work out, because you make scary situations funny. Far most of the comedies coming out of the US didn't gave me a smile. Jay Chandrasekhar, the director did put in some comedy but not too much, it laid underneath, you had to search for it and by doing so the humor did work. He also knew his stuff in the horror genre by giving us some winks to classics. Just see how the killer comes up after being stabbed to death. Didn't that ring a bell, Michael Myers from Halloween, anybody? Or when the survivors are on a boat with happy music and suddenly one is attack like Jason did in Friday The 13th. On part of the horror it isn't that scary at all but it's just a flick you have to see with your friends and a six pack of beer. The acting was rather good for such a dumb flick. But some of the girls do know their stuff, Jordan Ladd (Penelope) went further on to act in Hostel part 2 and Cabin Fever and Death Proof. The best known face for me was Brittany Daniel (Jenny) who moved on to The Hamiltons and Skyline. Of course there's a bit of nudity in it, you get it straight away in the beginning of the flick. Funny was although that Jenny was going for a shower and reacted rather funny towards the viewers. I admit, even as it clocked in at 104 minutes I was attracted to the screen due the horror and comedy. Don't expect a flick like Scary Movie, it has more to show us. Some parts were on the gory side but overall it's watchable for teenagers too. Made in full bloom of the torture porn genre, that's why it flopped, being a slasher with some laughs. DeadHeroNZ This is possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I loved Super Troopers and had high hopes for this film too but was sadly disappointed. The real sad thing is that I was high when I watched it and still didn't laugh and thats saying something. If you can't make pot smokers laugh then you should stop trying to make funny movies. I understand that they were not trying to make a high class movie, that much I get but come on stupid wigs and crap accents do not make for a funny movie. Let's just hope whatever kind of movie they chance their hand at next is at least written better than this stinking pile of excrement, shame on you Broken Lizard, shame on you. With saying that, at least it had some nudity. :)

dkenney39 I know a lot of people probably don't agree with giving stupid movies like this an 8, but it is actually funny. I was skeptical to first see it because it looked kind of goofy, but since i loved super troopers i thought i'd give it a try.The film is basically about a vacation island in which all you do is party. But when a killer starts running wild, everybody scrambles to find out who is doing this.I think Steve Lemme (Juan) did the best job as the divemaster, just because of his accent and the funny lines that he had. As said by others, most people will just think of this film as an average comedy/horror spoof, but i think it is better than others. At least give it a try to see the hot Brittany Daniel in a bathing suit almost the entire movie.8/10
