Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
cmovies-99674 PROS: I don't even know where to begin. To start, the development of terror is just so outstanding words can't describe it. You get sucked in a little bit with everything that happens. Every scene further adds to the anxiety that the movie is predisposed to give you anyway. Then to top it all off, you get an amazing climax. A truly, horrifying finish to add on to an already gruesome film. The thing that I felt helped the movie the most would be the acting. The directing was good, the script was good, but most importantly the acting was good. Each actor really became the character. This gave that extra bit of darkness that really was the embodiment the film. Another thing that was breathtaking was the ending. For some reason I assumed that the resolution would be stereotypical and cliché, but it was anything but that. The reason this film is a true psychological horror and not a slasher horror is because of the ending. The shock and true unnerving quality the ending possessed is what made this film a 5/5 for me.CONS:www.chorror.com
Leofwine_draca CHAINED is another low budget serial killer movie that attempts to be all edgy and frightening by getting into the head of a killer. Inevitably it doesn't work very well, leaving this a bland disappointment lacking in vision and character. The best thing about it is the likable Vincent D'Onofrio, an actor who really shouldn't be wasting his talents in mindless torture porn films like this. The film sees D'Onofrio's killer taking on a disturbed young apprentice but there are some highly predictable twists in store which you'll see coming a mile off. It's unpleasant without being too graphic, and in the end the mindless screaming and killing bored me senseless.
drama59 A very disturbing ride into the sadistic mind of a serial killer. Start with the abduction of a Mother and Son. Kill the Mother but keep the son who is only 9 years old. There ensues the torture and mental abuse that keep this poor child on the brink of madness. Chained for most of his life and being under the constant eye of the serial killer who took his mother's life. "Rabbit" beings to deteriorate while hiding inside his own mind. The murders continue (all are off screen for those of you who want to know). Great cast! Great plot! It keeps you on the edge of your seat and the turn at the end is unexpected. I would love to see "Chained 2". Worth a watch!!!
jenniehayes61 This is the sickest film I've ever watched in my whole life. I will NEVER watch it again and I think it should be banned.Disgusting. Who the hell even thinks this crap up? I wish I'd never seen it. My advice is not to watch it. It isn't worth watching at all. I suppose this probably happens in real life. Missing people, insane maniac murderers actually are around us. This film really is disturbing. It's 3am and I'm not going to sleep any time soon. Sticking to Monsters inc and The Lego movie from now on. This film is worse than any other film I've seen. It's worse than Horror. It shouldn't have even been filmed. I am properly well and truly sickened.
