Steve-war From the moment this film gets underway with a car travelling through the wilderness accompanied by a score either ripped off or tipping its hat to the music from The Shining during its own opening scene, I knew this was not going to be a landmark moment in cinema. Maybe it was because the music sounded like it was being played on a second hand Casio keyboard from the 1980s. This is immediately followed by a nod to Donnie Darko, so I'm guessing it was intentional. Ghastly acting from the cliched group of 'teens' yapping about Minecraft, wifi, and the usual horror trope of no phone signal. They all look nearer 30 than 18. You need to sidestep this like you would a land mine. Not good.

IssaGuy I hated this movie so much that it's actually the worst thing I've ever seen! The acting is generic, the script is the same as the original but terribly converted to modern time (same problem with A Nightmare on Elm Street remake), and terrible everything! Can I give it a 0 please? I'm a fan of the first Cabin Fever, it may not be a masterpiece but I enjoyed it. I thought remakes are suppose to update or change something not similar to the original. This is a pointless remake by the number! Watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, The Ring remake, Friday The 13th remake, and The Hills Have Eyes remakes because just don't watch this movie.

mattmasi I don't mind "typical" horror movies that are unoriginal and stick to a over used formula, but the acting and dialogue has to be decent or better. This movie seems to be more focused on referencing weed, sex, alcohol and video games than offering us even decent acting and dialogue. " I did that to, and I got drunk" awkward silence. I love bad horror movies bit this was just cringe. Not sure what's worse the script or the acting performances. It's only merits are the the cinematography looks good, it does a good job looking like a hollyHoll movie, but a 13 year olds weekend project underneath
