ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Beulah Bram A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
silvan-desouza By Chance has anyone seen Jeetendra-Dharmendra starrer SAMRAAT(1982)? The film is somewhat similar The film has an okay plot but too stupid to be taken serious The ease at which Akshay lures Zayed and Sanju to get the treasure is really mystifying, they are several nonsense scenes like the scene when Rahul Dev is firing in Sanju's place and Lara tells Sanju to talk An action scene straightly lifted from TORQUE(2004), The underwater scenes leave you cold mostly, even the climax is clichéd stuff and not too convincing.Direction by Anthony Dsouza is horrible Music is okay Akshay Kumar looks cool but just repeats his act, his much publicised villainy role leaves you cold, Sanjay Dutt is a miscast, he with his weight gain doesn't look the part of a scuba diver and his act too is nothing great, Lara Dutta is not good, while Zayed Khan is as usual Katrina Kaif has a brief role and does her routine Rahul Dev is as usual
chrichtonsworld When so many reviewers dislike a movie I always feel challenged to prove otherwise. Sadly I have to agree with the majority on this one. "Blue" is bad. I don't mind a simple plot as so long there is some creativity put in it. But to randomly steal scenes from other movies without doing anything new with them is just too much.(Examples:The boxing scene from Broken Arrow, the chase scene from Torque, the shootout scene from Bad Boys 2). Those scenes weren't nearly as exciting as the originals were. So why use them. My biggest complaint however is the lack of real excitement of any kind. The action scenes weren't enjoyable one bit. The thriller elements were laughable. From the sparring scene between Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt you already can predict the ending especially when you have seen Broken Arrow from John Woo. And the actors took this movie way too seriously. If everything is lacking then at least you have to be able to count on some laughs. Do I blame these actors. Well, not really. It is the director who made a mess of this movie. He should have instructed his actors that this was meant as a parody then maybe the movie could have been fun. Only highlight of this movie is the song and dance scene with Kylie Minogue and that is saying something since I don't like musical numbers in movies. Avoid!!!
Agent-L Without a shadow of a doubt this is one of the worst film of the year. I never believed it would actually top such title as "Kambakkht Ishq", "Love Aaj Kal" or "Chandni Chowk to China" but it did. The plot and the script is very poorly written with some dialogues being straight lifted from well known movies.I am not going to divulge the plot because it is so simple with one twist in the end. After watching the first 30 minutes you will be able to tell what is going to happen for rest of the movie. But I have to say the cinematography was good, i think that was only good thing about the movie. In conclusion I would like to say the script is poorly written with equally bad plot, its delivered very poorly by the cast with many dialogue and continuity errors which are obvious to the audience during the run of the movie. The only plus point is you get to see Lara Dutta in bikini which she looks wonderful in but not the acting!
sandeep acharya While most movie critics have done their job of dissecting blue to be a directorial disaster and having a weak story line, what they have actually done is to benchmark it to a typical Bollywood movie. How many of the present lot of directors would think of having the lead star without a heroine for the entire length of the movie, and go all out to make a movie that we would love to have but only if offered by a Hollywood director not from a Indian director. While Indians have liked Jaws and Titanic, National treasure was a big hit, no one questioned the logic behind the story or any of the scenes, but, when a Indian director does international quality work, everyone sits up and puts in their two bits of opinion.A great man had once said– Opinions are like belly buttons– everyone has one.In BLUE the underwater sequences are beautiful, the bike races world class, the actors especially Lara and Akshay look stunning and very different from their earlier movies.Overall the movie is visual treat and you can sit back and enjoy the scenic beauty of Bahamas. The only negative of the movie is perhaps its end which is not much convincing to me but overall its a good movie .As a movie buff all I can say is every movie is special, you got to go figure for yourself and stop being a football of other people's opinions.
