Cubussoli Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Suman Shakya "Billu" is a bit slow and a simple film that tries to establish a relationship between the stardom and real life and presents a story of friendship. Storywise the film is simple and remains humble, and characters look simply down to earth and is quite well performed by Irfan Khan, Lara Dutta, and Shahrukh Khan. Few dialogues try to illustrate the line of separation between film fantasy and real life. This humble story can be appreciated for its simplicity, but the slow pace and unnecessary dragging of the film at the middle somehow makes it boring. Anyway. though the film is on a whole a bit an unmemorable time passer, its attempt to present the friendship between a poor barber and a film star is appreciable.Rating: 2 stars out of 4
shailensukul What an indulgent piece of crap! Shah Rukh Khan has truly started his decline into senility! Produced by his wife Gauri Khan, the only thing holding up this movie is the decent comic direction by Priyadarshan and the convincing acting by Irfan Khan. The overblown and self gratifying scenes from Shah Rukh Khan are truly annoying to watch (yes there is even a light saber in one of the many meaningless scenes). The story and movie would have performed so much better had it not been for the distractions of SRK. Come to think of it, why hide behind the on screen name of Sahir Khan when meaningless repeats of his other films are scattered throughout the glorifying shoots. It makes one wonder about the mental condition of the actor and the negative influence he has on the direction of movies (his company is the producer). Nevertheless, the supporting cast and Irfan Khan in particular are good and make for an enjoyable watch. This film might do well in India where Shah Rukh Khan does not really have to do much in his movies than to repeat the same old clichés (he is already revered as a demi god anyway). In a more discerning overseas market with a more intelligent audience, films have to work much harder for aceptance and therefore, this film will be soon forgotten, even loathed.

prashkum-1 You can watch it once but its not guaranteed to leave you satisfied. It might have been a good end product but looks like the SRK touch has spoiled this feel good village based drama into a cocktail of dance and song sequence with unreal dialogs (spoken words are rather odd and interesting..but then Priyadarshan is like that). The ending could have been handled little better to make it more heart warming and endearing.Irfaan Khan's character is handled well. SRK doesn't touch your soul. Music is OK but songs are rather inappropriate and abrupt. Other characters appear too loud and overdone and at times get to your nerves.
