Karry Best movie of this year hands down!
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Lumsdal Good , But It Is Overrated By Some
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
lisafordeay So I seen this movie a few times before, the first time was at a cousins house and I didn't know what to expect. In fact this is the first movie that made me introduce myself to the hot guy Zachary Levi(whom I didn't know too well as I seen him in Tangled a few years later and it dawned on me who he was then, but Tangled was the film that introduced me to him properly but this was the first film I saw him in). Anyway the story is mainly the same Malcolm played by Martin Lawrence has to go undercover again as the big fat nanny that made him meet his now wife played by Nia Long with whom he has a child with to uncover some bad guys that are after a guy who's wife has kids(played by Emily Protector from CSI Miami). Helping Malcolm out is Kevin(Zachary Levi)who happens to work for the FBI also and helps Malcolm get the bad guys that are after Protector's charcther's husband.Yeah yeah the plot is a rip off of Mrs Doubtfire sorta-ish but hey its not a bad film and its not as bad as White Chicks GOD NO. Overall I found it not too bad,but it is a tad bit stupid I find as I find all cross-dressing movies stupid.
departed07 2000's Big Momma's House was a surprise hit in the summer where I couldn't stop laughing once I bought the film on DVD. But one thing I hate about most comedy films is when they try to bring on the sequels; many of which take a long time to develop where after a while most of the fans who cheered for these characters start to lose their touch and move on to better movies. The premise of Big Momma's House 2 involves Martin Lawrence reprising his role as Malcolm. He has already got the girl (Nia Long) from the first movie where her son Trent is accepting him as it is while at the same time embarrassed that Malcolm is dressed up in silly mascots in high school to promote safety. But now the undercover agent if fired from his job where he overhears a conversation involving a computer geek on the verge of being killed unless he does something about it. Malcolm dons the Big Momma suit and goes in as a nanny. To be honest with you, the film was very hard for me to keep up. Not once did I laugh unlike the first movie where it just tried to hard to be like the original.
Aaron Hassard There's no need for the criticism that Big Mommas House 2 has got and is still getting, i've never seen the original Big Mommas House and i hear that it's good, but i still enjoyed this film, it never deserved to be in the IMDb bottom 100 but on the other hand doesn't deserve to be in the IMDb top 250, it's a middling film, has it's strong and it's weak points.I forget most of the plot, all i know is that it's about an FBI agent who goes undercover by dressing up as a fat woman, and looks after a family of kids, and some cheer leading for good measure! (Imagine Big Momma as a cheer leader *shivers*)So overall, i good but not great film, there's some funny bits and it's watchable.6/10
MLDinTN I was afraid that this movie would be so silly it would be bad, but it really wasn't. It was OK. It had some funny moments. Like Big Momma on the beach in a swim suit, That was good. Martin Lawerence's makeup is amazing in this. While the female voice is too fake sounding to pass as real, the fat suit could pass for real. Now, I would think if you touched the suit, it wouldn't feel like real skin, so I don't know how he could have pulled off the massage at the spa. Some glaring plot holes were how could Malcom risk cleaning the family's house at night out of his Big Momma disguise. And one minute Malcom would go somewhere else without his disguise then magically appear at another place as Big Momma. It never showed him lugging around the Momma disguise. But one positive was Martin Lawerence didn't play the part as really over the top, so wasn't annoying. A big plus.FINAL VERDICT: If you are looking for a comedy, it would be worth watching.
