Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Comeuppance Reviews "Animal 2" is just as good as the original.The plot: James "Animal" Allen (Rhames) is back in jail for a crime he didn't commit. On the outside, his son James Jr. is framed for murder. The only way James Jr. stays out of jail is that Animal fights Mexican and Black prisoners.As usual, Ving puts in a great performance as James. Shannon as Darius makes you forget that Terrence Howard was the original character. He has a great speech towards the end. There's also some decent fight scenes. The only problem with that is during the fights the movie repeats the same music over and over again. RedWine_1st I had just recently watched the Animal 1. Animal 1 was much better than anticipated and I actually rated it an 8 as in a better than average which would be a 7.Several weeks later I came across Animal 2. I looked forward to a continuation of the story line and this film did deliver on that aspect.To me there were only several short coming.The actor playing the youngest son was too old physically. Well acted but the age threw me off a bit.The post fight "roars" came across as very artificial. I believe Animal 1 had a similar scene but there it really fit.

Collins) is arrested to force Animal to fight for a gang leader (Conrad Dunn).While his other son, Darius (Vicellous Reon Shannon) is trying to free his brother, a new attorney (Deborah Valente) is assigned the case. Animal has to cool things off on the outside so he can solve the problem inside.Sure, there are plot holes you can drive a semi through, but it is mindless entertainment with Ving Rhames providing enough excitement to keep you interested.The ending was predictable...and it wasn't.

jeepnole Only question here is if script is worse then acting....first off kid gets "framed" for shooting his friend....arrested at scene a simple gunpowder test would have proved his innocence......but then they'd have no movie so nobody thinks to check if he fired a gun ...hes then charged with murder has no money for a lawyer yet somehow gets bailed out next morning........I guess judge released him personal recognizance on murder?? (has a public defender but has 1 million for bail on murder??).....BUT WAIT it gets worse WAY WORSE........The convict running the jail not only has the DA in his pocket somehow the DA manages to get his girlfriend hired at the public defenders office the NEXT DAY....just in time to make sure she gets appointed that case and ONLY that case.........now realize the acting was just as bad.......Im not lying when I say you could write a better script yourself get your friends to act in it and have a 50 percent chance of making a better movie..........Honestly no joke......Seeing Ving Rhames in this movie was like seeing Jake "the snake" Roberts smoking crack and still wrestling in his 50s...This man was in Pulp Fiction ?? SAD SAD DAY, like the once great Rock N Roll stars who are now fat in there 60s and playing state fairs while trying to pay back the IRS and 3 ex wives .....I watched this movie for free on Starz and STILL felt ripped off....If you want to see the adult version of this movie professional with a budget real actors and everything see Felon with Val Kilmer.
