Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
theoneheart It was an exquisite Christmas romance movie. One of the most truly touching and moving Hallmark movies I've seen after bingeing for days. Prepare yourself for a few tears. The film grew to what seemed to be a powerful conclusion then offered more. My favorite of many Hallmark films I truly enjoyed. Highly recommended for anyone drawn to HEA Hallmark Christmas romances.
adoptshelterpetstoday Oh, puleeeezzzz! Give me a break!!With this movie being ultra-awful, I'm convinced Hallmark's Christmas movie producers' intentions were to laughingly prove viewers could enjoy ULTRA-LAME! But they were actually insulting viewers' intelligence! The only feature I enjoyed was that it ENDED!The tremendously annoying "Harold" showed up numerous times out of nowhere, without a hint of how he showed up.....Turn around this way or that way...or look up... or open the house door...and suddenly there he was every time yak, yak, yakking away...and uninvited!..............His voice was BEYOND annoying! (was that intentional? if so, why?)...............Did the goof ever decide who he was?? Oh, who really cares?!Hmmm...which was worse: the female star's atrocious "singing" or her lame "acting"??The plot dragged and dragged and dragged pointlessly. The film desperately needs to be destroyed immediately! I'd hate to think the next generation would think this stupidity is what we thought was entertaining or enjoyable in our time!
USN-Retired My wife asked, "Why do you like this movie but don't like movies about Santa?" There are two classes of formulaic Christmas movies produced by Hallmark. One class succeeds most of the time, given a good script and good actors. The other doesn't. To be successful, it must be believable if we can suspend our prejudices. When it comes to angels, etc., we all want to believe they exist. Even an agnostic like me, wishes this to be true. On the other hand, when it comes to fantasy Christmas involving Santa, we all know it isn't believable so we just ride with it because, after all, it is fantasy. With Angels and Ornaments, we have a wonderful script and a mesmerizing Sergio Di Zio (H). Coupled with Jessalyn Gilsig…well, the magic works. This is on par with The Christmas Card, one of the best Christmas movies made in recent years.
DilbertW01 When we watch the Hallmark Christmas movies, we usually know in the first 30 minutes or so if we are going to like it. Sometimes they start off so slow that they "don't grab us" or spark interest. When we first started Angels and Ornaments, we were almost to the point of cutting it off. Fortunately, we didn't. It does start off a bit slow, but there is a point (no spoilers here) that it changes. One review about this movie mentioned that the story is not real deep. I agree with that, but it does not diminish the enjoyment of the story. If you like those Christmas movies that will have a tear to the eye or having a good happy-cry at the end, this movie will not disappoint. Again, I am not going to spoil the movie. Now, here's to hoping the Hallmark will release it on DVD like they have other movies this Christmas (2014) season.
