VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
The_Boxing_Cat If you're expecting a true reality show, this isn't it. Although, at times it is entertaining. Alma, a heavy smoker refrains from lighting up onscreen. Heavy promotion of their restaurant.
anitalansing-40-581915 When the Walhburgers reality TV show first began, I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching the interactions between the brothers, and the genuine warmth and caring that was shown within the family members. Paul appeared to be the punching guy who took everything with a smile. However, now it seems to have gotten stale and there really isn't any kind of scenarios that can be written regarding the Wahlburg cast. Most of the recent episodes have become strained, trying to tell a story. Oh well, I guess every good thing must come to an end.
Mark J Nicoll There are so many of these fly on the wall documentaries (or reality TV as some like to call it) past and present and to be honest, I have never liked any I have seen previously. This one however, is a breath of fresh air. It isn't in your face. It isn't over the top. In fact, I'd say it is very low key.The key theme of the Wahlburgers is family and pretty much everyone has one in a form or other, so we can relate. For the lucky few of us, some of us have siblings and through our own experiences, we can easily relate to the antics of Donnie & Mark too. This reality TV documentary centres around Alma and Paul. Paul runs the family restaurant business and Alma is the Hostess at Alama Nove. Paul is not only the head chef at Wahlburgers, he is the manager and entrepreneur with the backing of two of his other brothers, Mark & Donnie.Through the series, we see the relationships they all have with each other and as mentioned, Mark & Donnie's antics which generally involve Paul being the brunt end of them.As the series evolves, you become to love and respect this family of nine children who started out as poor as anyone and you laugh along with them and thank them for allowing you to see a small part of their lives. It is truly inspiring and a pleasure to watch.I still cannot believe that Johnny Drama didn't get the role of himself in Entourage! :-) Funny.
abraham_wrinklin I honestly don't understand how people can write about how a "sibling rivalry annoys them." I'd have to ask "were you an only child?" in response. For those of us who had sisters and brothers this is right up your alley. First and foremost it's an Irish household, they recall tons of stories from the not so conventionally nuclear family of the 80's...This series is a breath of fresh air from all the other reality type shows that are on. One thing they are real, their lives are real the things that happen to them are real.Expressing the feelings of old and healing those feeling through some competition is the way it should be. I'm sure Mark took a beating for his brother and Donny has taken one for him...Can't wait to see where this goes next season I recommend this series to anyone not afraid of the REAL REALITY SHOW. That's all it is, unapologetic look into the lives of the "Wahlburgers" not just the burger joint but the family itself.
