Reviews

AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
clintstevens As action series go, this one is pretty standard. The hero always triumphs, successfully delivering whatever he is given after the requisite car chase and gets the hot babe along the way. I don't find the transporter to be particularly handsome (he reminds me of Harvey Keitel) and he always wins every fight, no mater how many bad guys he's up against, without wrinkling his $1000 suit in the process. My main complaint with the show is the blatant product placement. I wonder how much Audi paid the producers to spotlight their car. The Audi gets better closeups and more screen time than Chris Vance. No subtlety there at all. If you're a German auto enthusiast you will love this show.
ighitst I very much enjoyed Season 1 of this series. Carla and Dieter were excellent foils for the Frank Martin character and, while the plots were formulaic, the story lines were enjoyable, the fight and car chase scenes were excellent, and the European setting was beautiful, as were the female guest stars.I did not enjoy Season 2 to the same extent. With Carla and Dieter absent from Season 2, I thought the series went downhill. I liked Violante Placido, but Frank Martin did not need a "partner" and that became clear as Carla's risk assessment was routinely and consistently ignored. In the later episodes, the addition of Jules in the role of nerdy computer support was simply annoying.A couple of the last episodes in Season 2, Chimera and Sixteen Hands in particular, were just bad, replete with over the top acting and clichéd characters. After those two episodes, the cancellation of the series seemed like a mercy killing.
bellab1972 The original Transporter movie is one of my favorite movies so I was excited by a series based on the movie. The writers and casting director totally missed the entire feel of the movie! It's really obvious some producers think viewers are simpletons and by some of the reviews, they are correct! The Transporter was not "James Bond", which was the major appeal of the movie but the producers are aiming at a Transporter/James Bond mix which sickens me! Where is the "broken attitude" and "tough guy arrogance" Jason portrayed in the movie? Instead we have a pathetic pom who grins all of the time. It's time producers stop trying to push 100 pound women beating up trained assassins! I am a woman and this infuriating tend of making women able to compete with men in the strength department is actually spoiling a lot of shows. I know it's just TV but magically making women, ( who always happen to be slim and "pretty"), able to win fights which are impossible, challenges the viewers intelligence! I for one don't want to see such stupidity! Anyway, back to The Transporter, the story lines are pathetic, the actors are annoying and the car chases don't save the show! How has this show been renewed and other watchable shows canceled?
cparrish743 I loved this show and was sorry to find out it was over a couple of years ago. Chris Vance is great and easy on the eyes. The car chases are exciting and never a boring moment. The series ended badly and we never had a real closing. I wish they would make more of these. I liked seeing the countryside in Europe and all of the excellent fight scenes. It was unique and I found it to be an awesome ride!!! I don't understand some of the bad reviews unless it was just the inability to accept the changes from the movie.Bring it back and let us have a little something different to watch and a bit of excitement to boot!!!
