AshUnow This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Siflutter It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
latreenjohnson First of all, they must have racially-targeted black actors (according to skin-color) in order to find the one black man on the planet who can swim in salt-water with his eyes open. Second of all, the dude he was swimming to rescue- was simply chillin' in a helicopter seat underwater... just because he can't get his seatbelt off by himself. He calmly takes a breath from his little oxygen tank and points to the seatbelt when the black guy (who somehow found him at night, in salt-water, with no flashlight or mask, after somehow finding the sinking helicopter in 300 billion gallons of water and locating the door-latch) comes to rescue him. Have you ever tried to open your eyes underwater and see anything in focus more than 2 feet away?!?.. much less in SALTwater?!?! And then the radio says "all searches have been called off until the storm passes", when the wife waiting at the station asks "durrrhhhh what does THAT mean?!?"... Then, in all-out-hatred against black women, the media AGAIN puts the black-lover-man into the latina woman... RACISTS!!!
dirtbunny199 I just discovered "SAF3" last night & while I haven't seen the previous 4 episodes, I liked what I saw in episode #5. I've loved JR Martinez ever since he won DWTS & I thought he did a great job in last night's episode, which he was the star of. If you hated "Baywatch," you won't like this show even though it's much better than David Hasselhoff's crew of models, etc. But if you did like "Baywatch," you'll love this show. I wasn't a huge "Baywatch" fan but I am really digging "SAF3"! Yeah, the actors are unbelievably good looking & not at all realistic of what most everyday working heroes look like but I don't care. I like looking at attractive actors & I love any show about firefighters & rescuers. Dolph Lundgren wasn't in last night's episode but I'm looking forward to seeing him in action with the rest of the crew. To all the haters bashing the show, what can I say other than haters gonna hate. Check out "SAF3" - it's a fun show to escape reality for a while!
Gerry Goldshine At the nine minute mark of this week's episode and wishing I could unsee what I have just watched. If this is a drama, then it's as bad as the odor coming off the recently fertilized alfalfa fields here in Sonoma County. If it's supposed to be a comedy, then I suspect even the flies will avoid it. Holy cow! I kept waiting for the voyeur grilling the ribs to set his hands on the grill, breaking all sorts of laws while he surreptitiously filmed the three swimsuit clad models doing yoga on the beach. At least that would have been funny.Being a retired police officer, who drove a Ford Crown Vic, I know JR Martinez's story and the unbandaging/unveiling of him was gratuitous. The whole plot line involving him was exploitative, stereotypical and derivative. The soap opera like music needs an organ to be more realistic.A repeat of this season's SNL, with an emaciated Tina Fey, has got to be better.
michaellimb For those of us sick to death of smartypants post-post-modern irony, like Breaking Bad and Dexter, SAF3 comes as a breath of fresh air. Lung Dolphin is a proper leading man like Rab Butler in Gone in the Wind, not a wheezing creep like self-styled Dr Heisenberg. Give me men like this any day, men who take care of business without the pathetic need to talk everything out. I think the soundtrack by the Carpenters underscores the timber of the acting but the show also displays technical innovation, like the radar screen showing North America. We need more shows like this about the unsung heroes of everyday life. Come on writers. What about some shows about policemen? Or medical emergencies? Anyone?
