Synopsis

A much more lavish version of the popular Superman television series which had first aired forty years earlier, Lois & Clark focused more on the Man of Steel's early adult years in Metropolis. With the unknowing help of Lois Lane, Clark Kent created Superman there in Metropolis after finding work at the world-famous Daily Planet newspaper, where he meets fellow reporter Lois Lane.

Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
deem_bastille Sorry. loved the first jimmy. and the bit about he was replaced for being too close to looking like dean cain... lie. big lie.just think of Valerie Harper with Valerie/The Harper family/The Hogan family or Don Ho. yup. money. dang.
Ilia Gofman Around 20 years ago and more recently (repeats), I've seen on TV a few episodes of Louis and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993). It seemed OK then. Recently I've decided to buy the full TV series from Amazon. As I've then started watching them without the adds interruptions, I thought from then on that it was much better than I remembered it and it's actually amazing. Every part of the filming of this series was done to an excellent standard. Absolutely all of the actors and in particular Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, did a great job and made the series feel immersive, like it's actually happening. I just wana see more :) Looking at some other more modern series for comparison, in around 2016, like Arrow, Agents of shield, flash, legends of tomorrow etc. Louis & Clark would have blown them out of the water, if they would have only released their series now. P.S Dean Cain, Chyler Leigh and Mehcad Brooks actors are the main reason I bother watching the modern Supergirl 2015 series :)
Danny Blankenship This TV series which ran back in the mid 90's sure was one good adaptation of "Superman" as the series kept true to form with the hero doing crime fighting and keeping the planet save. And on the side the series focused on the romance between Clark and Lois that developed from their time together at the daily planet. Dean Cain was in top form as Clark Kent and Superman as his slick hair and hunk looks was a great modern day image of Superman and a throwback to the good old days of "Superman" in the comics. And during the series the planet and world would always be saved, aside from that enter the girlfriend Lois Lane(played by the very hot and sexy Teri Hatcher)as in this series would show the romance she had with the "Man of Steel" and many scenes were so hot with Teri Hatcher. And I remember many episodes of Teri being a damsel in distress as her Lois character so many times was tied up and gagged or either had her mouth shut with duct tape! Never fear Superman was always to the rescue! Overall great Superman series and with a good spin subplot of romance and Teri Hatcher made it a sexy watch!
Jackson Booth-Millard I remember seeing this on a number of occasions as it was always broadcast on BBC2 either midday or at around the same time as The Simpsons and Star Trek: Voyager, but I didn't watch very often. Basically this television series focuses almost more on the leading couple of the show, Clark Kent (Dean Cain) aka the greatest superhero on Earth and for Metropolis, the Man of Steel, Superman, and his love interest who works at the Daily Planet with him, Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher). So every episode we would see Lois and Clark either trying to get on with each other as colleagues, or slowly getting closer to each other, and of course some disaster occurring in the city in which Clark would don the blue suit and red cape to fly off and save the day, Lois sometimes might be a victim. Obviously it seems more apparent that Lois is in love with Superman much more than Clark himself, she almost completely ignores him, but she slowly develops feelings, and of course it was a near revolution when she finally found out his true identity (possibly recognising through the glasses). Also starring Eddie Jones as Jonathan Kent, K Callan as Martha Kent, Lane Smith as Perry White, Child's Play 3's Justin Whalin as Jimmy Olsen, John Shea as Lex Luthor, Michael Landes as Jimmy Olsen, Tracy Scoggins as Catherine 'Cat' Grant, Kenneth Kimmins as Dr. Bernard Klein, Tomorrow Never Dies' Tony Jay as Nigel St. John and Beverly Garland as Ellen Lane. Cain is good looking and nice, Hatcher is gorgeous and confident, and Shea when he was on was a cool villain, Cain and Hatcher together of course make a good on screen couple, awkward as Clark, close as Superman, and closer as the series went on, and the special effects to create disasters and Superman powers are good, overall it was a good fun romantic fantasy adventure show. It was nominated the Emmys for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Sound Mixing for a Drama Series (twice), Outstanding Individual Achievement in Costuming for a Series, Outstanding Individual Achievement in Directing in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Main Title Theme Music for Jay Gruska. Superman was number 72 on The 100 Greatest Pop Culuture Icons. Good!
