GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
JinRoz For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Janni Posta I've never been into 'laywer' series, but then I saw the ratings on this show and I just had to watch it!And after seeing all of the episodes - I regret nothing! Breckin and Mark-Paul are great together. There's this chemistry between then and in the show - they have this incredible friendship, that I think everyone would love to have in real life, ha ha. ;) Then there's Reed Diamond as Damien, and I absolutely love him! I think he's the perfect match for a crazy duo like Franklin and Bash. The only thing missing in season 3 tho - is Hanna. Just think she was better than Rachel.
Filmbrewer Franklin and Bash is entertaining, but it's so contrived every plot line reaches way beyond reality. Their legal tactics need quite a bit more thought and creativity from the writers. The producers could at least bring in some attorneys for consultation and give a foundation for this show to stand on because for the most part, they win court cases based on emotion rather than fact and evidence. The redeeming factor, however, is the chemistry of the characters which makes up for much of the absurdity of the show. This show and these characters would work much better in a detective scenario rather a court drama IMAO. All in all, an excellent show to watch when your DVR is empty and nothing else is on.
ravmeltt I decided to watch the first episode online, now that the show has reached its 7th episode. I wanted to see what it was like before I decided if I wanted to continue. As someone said in another review, this show is set for a younger demographic. It so reminds me of The Defenders but with younger lawyers. I loved the Defenders with James Belushi (an older lawyer) and Jerry O'Connell, not so old, but still a little more mature than Paul Michael Gossellaar and James Brecker (or Breckinmeyer). Anyway, what I liked about The Defenders is that, besides its often quirkiness, I really enjoyed the cases they worked on. I know watching one episode is not enough to judge, but there was a lot of quirkiness in Franklin & Bash, but the cases were not interesting enough for me. I think after having watched The Defenders, which I really liked, I feel that there was no need for F & B. Just bring back The Defenders and you'd practically have the same show.I also loved Paul Michael G in TnT's Raising The Bar, which I find was more exciting and interesting than F & B. There are people who'd like F&B, and if I have nothing else to watch, I'd probably watch it. But after getting so deeply engrossed in The Defenders, Raising the Bar, Harry's Law, which I love, Fairly Legal, which I love, The Whole Truth (which I loved but was cut after only about 5 episodes); and Outlaw with Jimmy Smit which I liked a lot, I can't find myself drawn to Franklin & Bash, and I don't feel it will last past one season.I'm really, really fed up of the networks and how they drop good shows and then bring back some of the same actors in a different named show with the same concept and precept, and sometimes the same role. I'm screening what I invest my time in, because these producers don't seem to know what they're doing, and frustrating people like myself who become engrossed in deep, interesting shows that get tossed over. If you want to watch F&B, feel free. The actors are great to look at (always loved Reed Diamond too), but it's not enough for me to be engrossed in.
dizzy789 I want to like this show, and it would be easy to do. The actors are great, the characters are likable, the premise is silly but enjoyable. But the writers are terrible at writing for women characters. I get the impression that the writers enjoy women, and even respect them, but don't understand them at all. I would hate to see this otherwise highly enjoyable show fail because the writing for the female characters is so ridiculous that it makes watching it unpleasant. The actresses themselves are great. I hope they get some really good female writers or at least more mature male writers to help this show out. The exception seems to be Carmen Phillips, who is played by Dana Davis. She is the only female character who seems like she could be an actual person.
