Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Logan By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
studioAT This is one of those warm-hearted family dramas that the US do so well. It also proves the myth that actors doing TV work are slumming it in the sense that you have Sally Field headlining and Rob Lowe in support. It's also lovely that Emily Van Camp is involved too. With Greg Berlanti on staff it's somewhat of an 'Everwood' reunion. It's a bit preachy in places, and not every episode is great, but there's a lot to like about this show.Every one gives good performances though, and the better than average writing carries this show through. It's worth getting into if you like this sort of programme.
Aron Goh Up till about the fourth season, this show was absolutely phenomenal. Though some plot lines were overly dramatic, like along the lines of a soap opera, the familial relationship was really the heart and soul of the show. I have to praise the handling of Kevin Walker's storyline. Usually, when shows have gay characters, these characters are often token characters that don't often have much impact on the story and often, sadly, are rarely seen around. Though this can to a certain extent be said about Scotty, the Kevin Walker storyline was excellently handled. The Scotty, Chad, Jason story lines were cute, romantic and really seamless, making it feel very normal. It wasn't overtly dramatized and was definitely handled very well. Kevin Walker remains my favorite character from the series, along with Scotty, as their relationship was the most real. The handling of gay relationships in the show is the best out of any show on the air thus far. From the fourth season on however, the story felt forced and I felt the writers were adding disaster for disaster's sake. The addition of Ryan was very, very poorly handled. It felt like the writers added him in during a brainstorm and did not fully think the character through. They already went through something similar with Rebecca and I felt that it was forced. In all, please, please watch the first three seasons. Its fun, addictive, dramatic, witty and really very good. An excellent show.
Timmu Trepp I watched this show AFTER it had been axed already. I was bored and just decided to watch something that is pretty well-known, but I haven't seen anything about. So I saw "Brothers And Sisters" running on Fox Life. Started from the very beginning and watched EVERY SINGLE episode. This show is everything that I could've possibly wanted! AMAZING actors, PERFECT for the roles! All of the family members grew on you pretty quickly (Can't get rid of them now). It was just such an amazing show. It had drama, comedy, surprises and its sad moments where you had to hold yourself back from bursting out crying.I do have to admit, that I was a bit disappointed how they continued the story from season 5. It almost felt like someone else was the writer for this show, because it felt for me that the characters of some of the main characters had slightly changed. Even though there was a reason, I felt sad seeing some of my favourite characters getting distant. But season 5 was still amazing! You had to get used to it and it grew on you once again. They had some of the funniest bits in that season. And the finale made you wanna scream: "NOOOOO I NEED SOME MOOORE EPISODES PLEAAAASE".I'm still glueless why ABC axed it, a very stupid decision I think, the ratings weren't that bad at all. For me, it's the best TV show I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of TV shows.
Ibuk I haven't reviewed anything on IMDb for a long while and I thought it's high time I returned with one of my reviews. Brothers and sisters was a show I wasn't exactly anticipating for a long time, I happened to be flicking through channels one night when the pilot was airing and there was nothing else on so I gave it a shot I instantly became hooked. It has to be said it is a flawed TV show, the show I feel is pretty repetitive. The first season was all about the illegitimate daughter of William Walker, Rebecca. The show prolonged it for a while and when it was revealed that she wasn't his daughter another illegitimate child pops out of the woodwork. Secondly I have never seen such an unlucky family, in almost every season a family member gets a deadly disease. In the latest season aired in the UK Kitty Walker is diagnosed with a disease and the family is forced to rally around her.Enough of the negatives. On the plus side it does have Sally Field as the matriarch of the family. She is very endearing and always puts herself out for her family. The family member I can most relate to is the youngest offspring of William and Nora Walker, Justin. Like me he is deeply flawed and I think it would be fair to say he is the black sheep of the family. Despite the flaws he is an incredibly likable character. Whilst I do enjoy the show immensely, I am hoping it doesn't get recommissioned for another season and quit whilst they are ahead.
