AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
GrimPrecise I'll tell you why so serious
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
baqarzaidi After 3 amazing series cartoon network excelled themselves, most people who hate omniverse are only because of the art style, watch and then there was ben or a new dawn, amazing episodes, dope music
Technical Difficulties - Please Stand By I only made this account just to write a review for this show (as it is my favorite) and I am currently sick of seeing all these negative reviews about it. Ben 10: Alien Force took a darker tone on the Ben 10: franchise which I liked, however it wasn't the original Ben 10. Ben 10 Omniverse after all these years is more spirited towards the original series (which is by far the best.) The art style in this show was creative and colorful and it worked. I also think the character designs were very unique and not generic as in UAF. In Ben 10: Omniverse the colors are very nice and vibrant and really create a nice scene (and this show has some of the best action scenes I have ever seen.) Now to the aliens. In the original series the aliens that came along had this charm to it, and they were extremely creative from a walking torch to an alien mummy to a creature completely covered in eyes that can shoot laser beams. The charm of the aliens was lost in Alien Force but got better with ultimate alien. But in Omniverse, The alien designs were AMAZING. Aliens like Feedback, Bloxx, Gravattack, and Gutrot had charming designs and you could tell the charm from the original series was there. Like the original series they had cool costumes to go with the alien. The transformation sequences were also impressive. Ben 10: Omniverse overall had a genius and clever story, like having a time war with Ben battling versions of himself from other dimensions, and his inter dimensional counterpart having to go back in time to where Ben found the omnitrix, and having to make sure him gets it. We also get more backstory on characters and with every episode being action packed and entertaining, some stood out as incredible. I think Ben 10: Omniverse is incredibly underrated, usually for its change in art style (which I love and have no problem with by the way. Overall I think this series is very entertaining and I always recommend you watch it.
sonugratian The only problems i had with this show were ben's lack of character development from UAAF and (temporarily) the animation style.Yes, it may seem childish at first, but once you watch the show for a while, i promise it will start to grow on you, this animation really gives some expression over UAAF's bland and expressionless animation style, as if coming from a "how to draw anime" art book.Yes, the show may seem uninteresting at first, but the plot digs deeper, and it stays loyal to UAAF fans, since it includes some big plot twists that dig back to those two previous shows.
TheLittleSongbird The original Ben 10 series was very good, Alien Force taking on a more mature tone was even better and Ultimate Alien was just as good. But it is here with Omniverse where things really took a nosedive, and not just slightly. We're talking about to the extent that- apart from Gwen and Kevin's brief surprise return in "Many Happy Returns" and the ending of "So Long and Thanks for All the Smoothies", which is the closest Ben 10: Omniverse gets to recalling the tones of its franchise predecessors- has little to make it watchable. It's not quite bad enough to be one of the worst animated shows of all time but it is definitely one of the most disappointing. The animation is done in a style that isn't that appealing, the colours are flat, the backgrounds are lacking in detail and the character designs are far too over-stylised(Ben's overly-large eyes are hugely distracting, in fact some characters don't have pupils or sometimes even eye-sockets). The theme song is one of the cheesiest ones for any animated show seen recently and musically nothing is memorable or well-suited to the moods of each episode/scene.There is nothing intelligent about the dialogue either, it is rather goofy in tone and is far too dumbed down generally. The story lines are predictable and simplistic rather than interesting and lack any sense of danger or fun, often too over-reliant on action and comedy hi-jinks and has nowhere near enough character development. Ben is not a likable character at all in this show, and along with the writing and story lines one of the main reasons why the show doesn't work. Here he is annoying, acting like a spoilt brat who always wants to get his way. Another mistake is to do with his character development, here he does a lot of fighting the bad guys but very little else, the previous series in the franchise actually spent time with him and the other characters which was one of their many strengths. Rook is a little easier to like, but at the same time the writing doesn't develop him very well at all and he is too much of an excuse to be a contrast to Ben.Gwen and Kevin(apart from one episode) are written out, thus removing any kind of heart and depth that was present before. The bad guys don't pose much of a threat either, which diminishes any sense of conflict, they also don't that much personality which makes them bland and forgettable as well. The action is not exciting, doesn't have that much energy and can be choppily choreographed/animated, considering that Omniverse is more comedy and action oriented rather than developing the characters that is a big problem. There is a very talented voice cast involved but the voice actors are not used very well, some are made to do annoying voices and some sound uninterested, for a voice cast of this calibre to hear a going-through-the-motions quality creeping in was sad and rather wasteful. To conclude, Omniverse is incredibly disappointing, with two bright spots(that are not enough really), but for the Ben 10 franchise it is a huge step backwards. 2/10 Bethany Cox
