Cubussoli Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
cpenaloza-71267 Enjoy the show and expecting the second episode, didn't know fox cancelled until today. Very disappointed. Actually it was one ofy favorite show and I barely got my husband into it. Please bring the show back.
Simply-Red Come on people, it's a fantasy program. And all the people calling it "over the top policing"? Really? We need some of this over top policing on the kinds of criminals depicted in this show, that's one of things I like about the show…give me a break with the pajama-boy sniveling about police brutality, yes, there are a small number of bad cops, but most criminals off all skin color who get beat or shot deserve it because they brought it on themselves. In a civil world, hard core criminals are NOT allowed to run rampant and cops do not put kid-gloves on before handling them, they are dangerous people who shoot back, resist arrest or flee or perpetrate a high speed car chase. We liked this because it was not terribly serious, anyone taking this show seriously is living a life I don't want. Also, you can pick up on an episode in the middle of the season of this show and not miss too much. You don't have to be invested in the show from day one to enjoy watching it…with an open mind…simply looking for some easy to digest entertainment…without reading too much in to it.Sadly, as usual, this program was cancelled, leaving room for social indoctrination tripe preferred by big media.
Marcellus Wallace The series starts with an underfunded precinct 13. Some filthy rich guy losses a friend/colleague in a robbery and decides to put his wealth to use. The female lead asks him if justice is to be bought for the rich. He replies that it isn't and he is there to make things better. In a later episode he states that he was only there due to the murdering of his friend. So that contradicts his previous answer. He paid a hundred million to get control over precinct 13. If he took only 10% of that and distributed the other 90 million over his employees, the amount of taxes paid would probably be higher due to VAT and the fact that big companies pay experts to pay as little tax as possible. And the policy would have more funds at it's disposal. The documentary The Super-Rich and Us sheds an interesting light on the broad picture. Especially the early investor in Amazon. The film industry is also a problem because they make loads of money but the quality seems to be declining every year. Most of the series contain the same ingredients as other series just the setting is changed. After a few episodes I stopped watching.
LiquidPoetry1921 Having taped the first five episodes of 'APB' on my DVR, I had the luxury of binge-watching the show like it was a streaming one (unfortunately however, with those pesky annoyances - commercials). And I was so glad I got to binge it, because after the pilot episode I just wanted more right away! The premise? A tech billionaire Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk), takes over a Chicago police district hoping to avenge the murder of his close friend (and his company's CEO), who was killed in a convenience store robbery. An officer he sees helping him achieve that goal is Detective Theresa Murphy (Natalie Martinez), an under-appreciated cop he has decided to team up with.Reeves spares absolutely NO expense refurbishing the department with everything from new computers to state-of-the-art bullet proof vests to armor plated police cruisers. Where the uber-implausibility comes in are the VERY expensive drones he supplies the unit to help combat crime in the area.As I previously stated, it's a completely implausible show and couldn't be less realistic. But that being said, 'APB' is a very entertaining hour on a Monday evening...even with those darn commercials!
