Ensofter Overrated and overhyped
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
follis12 In my work and travels, I've experienced some variation of all of the goofball characters and difficult situations portrayed in Unfinished Business - it speaks to the business life well. For this reason, I'm giving it a higher score than I might have otherwise. Still, it has a 5.5 right now, and that is not accurate. This is actually a very entertaining movie with a good mix of comedy and mild drama.Vince Vaughn character reminded me of myself. Trying balance work, family, and getting emotionally connected with individuals from both sides. The interesting part is the flaws that are so obvious in the people he supports, yet he believes in them and refuses to give up. I like that kind of message.I found it funny, touching, and maybe just a little inspirational. Give it a chance - you can do a lot worse out there.
C.J. Blanda .....Unexpected tonight,...and l watched this movie; and must say l loved every minute, a thought provoking good comedy with a feeling of the time and the man, l recommend it without reservations,.. the cast was superb. The first time that l saw a very good cast with some in smaller roles, and they took each moment very seriously, what makes it work is the low key comedy that Vince Vaughan can achieve, with just a blink or a smirk., good to see Tom Wilconson do some great funny moments, and the surprise was Dave Franco, my first time, and he has won me over as a fine actor and delivered a most tender performance, at once you felt for his knowledge and at the same time you know that he was in complete character, l want to see his talent rise to a level that will be very main stream, he is a fine comic. The entire cast could not have been more at their game, l would see it again,
kosmasp Let's get this out of the way from the start: This is not Swingers. You can't copy a formula like that, though Vince Vaughn does his usual shtick once again. And here lies the ingredient that will either lead to you enjoying this or absolutely dreading the experience of watching this movie. If you like him and the characters (quick talking, full of quips) he's portraying, you can be assured that you will at least have some fun with this. With two sidekicks who do a good job completing him (if that's what you want to call that). Especially Franco plays that innocent and uneducated simple minded guy as good as is possible. He seems very comfortable slipping into that role.A lot of sexual jokes and a bit of nudity along the way, if you're not offended by that ... if you are, try the wheelbarrow ... ;o)
yinkbling I am a big Vince Vaughn fan. I think he is one of the most hilarious actors out there, and of course with a proved track record. That being said, he didn't exactly bring his A game on this one. A few scanty laughs here and there was just about it. The movie starts with Vince resigning from his workplace and immediately planning to start his own company, he hires the first two people that came out of the company's exit door after him for no solid reasons. After months of anticipating, they finally get to close a big long-awaited deal in Germany, he is met by his former boss who also happens to be lobbying for the same deal, and yea you guessed it, Vince and his team got the handshake. The story is cliché and the characters are just OK (noting extraordinary) except for Dave Franco's character (Mike Pancake) which was particularly annoying. Watch over two big bowls of popcorn because you going to need them to keep you going.
