SoTrumpBelieve Must See Movie...
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
gudiya68 I wouldn't call this movie a must watch, but if you've got nothing to do for a couple of hours.... Kudos for picking such a difficult topic as Alzheimer's as still many people don't understand this disease. Lots of copying from The Notebook, but I don't really mind watch Bollywood remakes, however for this film it might have been better if they just did a scene by scene copy bollywood style. A good effort from the Devgan's,unfortunately the love story just wasn't believable for me. Ajay and Kajol looked great together, but they're aging. The acting wasn't too bad, but when your don't have good dialogue it doesn't matter. It would have been better showing them falling in love after an arranged marriage, instead of the whole love at first sight thing. Boring scenes when Ajay looks through Piya's scrapbook and the film shows choppy childhood scenes which were pointless. Also the whole salsa dancing scenes were painful to watch and what was up with the kid who stalks them on the boat? Not nearly enough scenes of normal life after marriage. I found the camera work to be annoying like others have said. Lots of weird close ups (I mean I could see their pores!!). Usually the first half of bollywood films are more fun to watch, but not here, the second half of this one is much better than first. I really liked the supporting characters a lot and would have liked to see more developed stories there since they open the film. Divya Dutta is always a joy to watch. She should do more films. ps. I liked the guy who said "he felt like ripping his arm out and bashing his head" - hilarious, still laughing!!
nsadiq5 After watching it's trailer everyday, my wife concluded that this movie is a MUST WATCH thing, but after the movie my wife (first time in her life) admitted that it was a mistake to come to this one. When I started watching this movie, I lost my interest in it very soon. I think watching this movie in theater atmosphere is a painful experience. I must admit that acting was fine and some moments were catching, but nothing that can make it any interesting.I wish I could write something in favour of this movie, but there is nothing I can think of. Sorry guys, I'm not recommending this one, almost 3 hour of run time will feel like the life sentence in jail.
ghulam35 Sidhaarth and Falabrdor, the notebook is the story off Alie and Noah being narrated by an old man, whereas in u me Aur hum the story is being narrated by Ajay himself, in the notebook after the carnival and parents disagreeing (because of Noah class and poor background) they don't meet again and Alie falls in 'love' again with a soldier and gets engaged to him, nothing like that happens in u me Aur hum, Ajay be's so sure that Piya going to come back that he gets the house ready for her whereas in the notebook Noah gets the house ready as the war goes on and by fixing the house he wants to please Alie's parents -theres no parents or war involved in u me Aur hum for Ajay or Piya.the notebook itself was based ('plagarised') from a book, it wasn't the initial idea of the director and when that was revealed he had to bring the author of the book in to work with him on the film.overall notebook is about Alie and Noah being each others first love and if they will ever get each other or not and about Alie's dilemma about choosing the soldier or Noah. whereas u me Aur hum is about love, Faith, loyalty and support in marriage and in good and hard times.50 first dates is where drew Barrymore suffers from short term memory Loss and is caused by an accident, there's no accidents in u me Aur Hum, drew Barrymore wakes up every morning thinking it's the day before She had the accident whereas Kajol in u me Aur hum doesn't b stuck in a Specific date, she just forgets certain things, if u think Alzheimer And short term memory loss are the same then u really needs to do some Research. Adam Sander in 50 first dates has to remind who he is to drew Barrymore and everything they done together, whereas that doesn't work For Alzheimer sufferers so Ajay can't do that. The only similarity between 50 first dates and u me Aur hum is that the Main lead actress suffers from an illness and the similarity between Notebook and u me Aur hum is that it is being narrated by someone. I'm Not saying Bollywood doesn't plagiarise/copy/borrow ideas and concepts But this was an original movie and storyline. There is a an Indian Version of 50 first dates though i think it's called Chandni Ki Kahani, not Sure about notebook though.Anyway people, i thought this movie was excellent, Kajols Acting is great and so is Ajay director and acting. It was something Fresh and different, must have been a hard subject to tackle and to put In as a story as Ajay Devgan has done. So credit to him. A must watch For everyone.
saurabh_bhu83 awful, splendid, and masterpiece u me Ur hum is all about u me Ur hum. here is the reign of not only u, me, or hum: it is all about u me Ur hum(in totality)undoubtedly the best of Ajay and cajole.Ajay once more establishes himself as the most sensitive actor ever.he relives the performance of zakhm!here is the story of a person suffering from Alzheimer's . it is a story of a husband who promises her to take care of her always without any fail. and promises should be kept at any cost.watch it for gentle feeling of romance. amidst all these when almost everything is crumbling especially in the metropolitan: this movie talks about love emotion friendship and everything that is nobler in human life.
