At the New Jersey shore, young Julie Peterson (Scout Taylor-Compton) saves the life of a drifter who's on the skids. Going one further, Julie resolves to save him emotionally, too, by instilling the gift of hope. But first, she has to contend with a local sheriff who wants the drifter gone and an admirer who's jealous of Julie's relationship with her new "project." KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
Portia Hilton Blistering performances.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
rapture23 This movie really does touch you in the most profound way. A poignant journey into loss of faith in life and learning to trust and care for someone even when you don't trust yourself. Tomorrow is Today makes you feel your emotions to the extreme but in a way where you want to feel everything possible. Mark Hefti has a vulnerability about him that makes you care for the character and can understand and even feel the loss he has. I am a big fan of Scout Taylor-Compton and this is without a doubt her best performance yet. She plays Julie with such innocence but not in a naive way. You really feel how much she cares about life, the world, people, and especially Mark. I was also surprised by Warren Draper as Chief Burg because I hadn't seen him in anything else and he was terrific. The directing is incredibly beautiful and almost indescribable. All around a perfect movie!
jeff_allard My stepfather had me watch this movie. At first, i was a little skeptic. I judge movies by how the cover makes me feel, and i just didn't connect. But, i decided to give it a try. I sat down and watched the movie, and i can honestly say it made me feel different then any other movie i have seen. It was so real, and not one bit of it was superficial. I didn't feel like this was some made up Hollywood story. It was beautiful in a way that is unexplainable. I remember being into every second of the film. The on screen chemistry was amazing. Mark Hefti and Scout Taylor-Compton were perfect for the roles they each played. They took their characters and brought them to life on screen, and I, being a 15 year old, could feel the pain, and love, and loss, that these two put forth as amazing and talented actors. I not only loved this movie, but i was a huge fan of the acting as well. I look forward to seeing Scout in Rob Zombies upcoming remake of 'Halloween'
MarkJoy You had me at hello...which is to say I was immediately drawn in...with virtually the first shot and the first note of the score my soul was stirred...I want to see this film...I mean I WANT to see it...the characters are endearing and real...and with the locations and photography we are immediately invited to examine our own hearts and reach for our own healing...it is rare when a film truly invokes that kind of emotional response...and it is too rare that a filmmaker makes a decision to tell that kind of story...compelling to say the least...I am interested to know more about these actors who appear to be below the radar, but I suspect that will change...my heartiest congratulations to Frederic Lumiere...and wishes for stunning success...Mark Joy
oshingurl-1 I couldn't believe that an independent film shot where I live in a small NJ town could make me so emotional. A beautiful film.... The emotion driven from the camera combined with the music brought the character's to life. I left the theater smiling after crying and crying. I saw parts of my own personal joy and sadness rolled into Julie A great lesson learned from the story of a young girl not to be missed hope the film will get the recognition it deserves makes you cry and makes you think how much impact we can have on each other with our ability to care and to give people hope . not to be missed so go with your tissues and feel something at the movies for a change....
