Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
williamwhitehead-35557 The Sorcerer's Apprentice is an action-fantasy about a young boy who goes into an antique shop to get a note but brakes a pot that releases an evil sorcerer. I enjoyed the movie very much and have repeatedly watched the movie which is very hard for me because I start to pick apart the movie which can ruin the movie for me and others, but The Sorcerer's Apprentice just doesn't get boring for me. i think this is a film for all ages to enjoy and watch with the family.
internetmail-28339 We really liked several things in this movie. First, of course, Alfred Molina, who never disappoints. Talk about actors whom I'd like to have a conversation with one day and Alfred Molina tops my list. Then the sets and backgrounds, the humor, other actors like Tony Kebbel as Drake Stone, Nicholas Cage as Balthazar. We were not too fond of Jay Baruchel, but then again, he wasn't bad either. The great flaw of this movie was that it should have been two movies. The story is great, but feels way too rushed. The whole explanation part with Balthazar and Horvath being friends and falling out over Veronica as apprentices of Merlin could easily have filled the first movie. Still, this movie was made with lots of energy and fun, and that shows in the end result. It deserves better than the ratings it got. That first movie could have ended with Balthazar and Horvath disappearing into the Chinese vase.
daydreamer_loves-write Four years later and my family still loves this film. From ages 3-40 we all love this movie and they could not have picked a better cast to bring life to these characters. I grew up loving fantasia and it's the best tribute I've seen towards it and while still holding its own story. Wonderful for any age, entertaining and definitely going to be a classic for ages to come. many movies you find when they use magic it's very theatrical yet lacking making you feel it would have been better left out or just plain embarrassing, this movie feels relate-able with very normal characters while throwing in magic that is a little different then the usual, you don't get the cringe feeling when they are doing it. We loved the music set for the movie that One Republic did and it happens to be a great tribute to Tesla, it did get my kids more interested in what exactly it was and who the man was that invented it.
Maverick Wolfe This movie is awesome, and any of the idiots giving it less than a ten stars are nothing more than a bunch of LOSERS with no humor, no seriousness, and absolutely no character. Cage plays his role amazingly well and of course anybody that knows of him the caliber of his acting is top notch no matter what role you stick him in. He always delivers a nearly flawless performance. Where's apprentice 2? They leave it open and I've been waiting 4 years for this new movie series to finish taking off. SOMEONE needs to get off of their tail and write or finish writing the script. I Couldn't imagine anybody that actually paid attention to the movie and the scripting rating this any less than I have. Mr. Cage and company, I ask again, where's our Sequels we were essentially promised?
