Reviews

Raetsonwe Redundant and unnecessary.
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Glimmerubro It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
creatorreviews This Movie Is amazing dude. I Watched it every year since it came out multiple times and it is actually amazing. Not saying it from nostalgia, its genuinely the best movie i ever seen. It stars Spongebob Square Pants, Patrick Star, and all your beloved characters from childhood. If you don't Love this movie, you really do need a therapist, it is pure joy and excitement
marcellosalvadori I wish most people of this planet could recognize what a masterpiece of cinema this movie actually is. Not only it's the best animated movie ever made, it's also hands down the best actual MOVIE ever made. I have no words to express my happiness when I first saw this amazing and breathtaking movie. The screenplay for this movie is absolutely astonishing and riveting. The animation is one of the best i've ever seen. The humor ALWAYS hits and its often clever and funny. To wrap it up, this is an amazing movie.
blake borck I love this movie. The plot is just my favorite how Spongebob and Patrick have to go to shell city to save mister Krabs and Bikini Bottom. Even after Spongebob feels betrayed by Mister Krabs because he doesn't get the job as manager he still takes the trek. My two favorite parts are when Pat and Sponge have believed they become men. And they go into the bottomless obis and breeze right past the monsters and not only do they make it past but they make it past while singing. Number one scene is probably when they finally get back from shell city with the crown and then to get the plankton's mind controlling buckets off of the city folks he performs the goofy goober song with a laser guitar and just goes straight ham.
trooper5783 When I was a kid, I loved SpongeBob. A LOT. I've seen all the episodes of it, had some of the plush toys, and rewatched all the DVDs I had, and I knew every line and moment by heart. I remember watching the first film in the theater, and I loved it. I had the DVD of the film, for my love of it(my mom had to buy it again and again because I was not worthy of trust with DVDs). So I rewatched the first film to relive memories, and it was awesome! The jokes are frequently clever and silly, just like the show. Some are bodily functions gags and slapstick, but a lot of them are the highlights of the film. The animation is very nice, whether it be the backgrounds or the Tex Avery-inspired character animation. The music is also soothing and fun to listen to. Overall, before you see Sponge Out Of Water, see the original for its zany comedy antics, vivid animation, and it's really cool soundtrack. Even if Sponge Out Of Water is hilarious, this one is a mile funnier.
