Richard Chatten The presence of Richard Jenkins in the opening sequence suggested that we were going to get something classier than the usual teenage slasher nonsense; but for quite a while the ghoulish build up seemed conventional enough.The cheerful amorality of the bad guys' manipulation of the likeable youngers chosen to be their victims at first roused my indignation; but as all is eventually revealed I became increasingly relieved that that the emphasis was going to be on providing an ingenious and well thought-out resolution rather than just the usual welter of blood. For which I am very grateful.

cyberman-38605 This movie was freaking AWESOME! If you're not into horror, you probably won't like this movie as much as I did. This is a pure and simple dark parody of the typical stereotypes of the horror genre. Chris Hemsworth was excellent as Curt delivering one of his best performances in his career. Fran Kranz plays the typical stoner, Marty, who I personally think was the best and the most likable of the five teens. If you go into this movie with an open mind expecting a creative, horror comedy you will LOVE this movie. 10/10

Roman I see a lot of hate in these reviews which is, in my opinion, out of place. Sure, the movie isn't a masterpiece, but I think a lot of people don't see this as it is. It's a mix of satire, spoof and homage to all the horrormovies (and their clichés) we've been served since the beginning of cinema. And in that, the movie doesn't take itself serious, just as an 'original' horror movie mustn't be taken serious. So watch this as a fun, entertaining homage with all the cliches of those movies we all know. And in that, they did a fine job.

birdhead73 I had heard this was a good movie but didn't know much about it. I had just expected a typical horror slasher movie in which dumb teens/ young adults go to an isolated place to smoke dope and fornicate and jet killed one by one. That does happen but everything that happens in between is completely off the wall.I read someone eles' review that said this movie is predicable. B.S.! One can only predict what the writers have purposefully fashioned for prediction. That's what makes this so good because it you think you know what's happening and then BAM! Something completely unexpected. It is cheesy, campy, and gorey all for reason. Other reviews have said the acting was bad. Wrong, wrong, wrong. The acting style is to be in kind with other teen slasher movies.On top of the unique storyline and scare moments, the movie is hilarious. You just gotta see it to believe it. I'm made that it took me so long to watch it.
