Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
karagoraymond Someone, please, please, tell Tyler Perry to stop making movies please. Its just one contrived, forced, heavily religious themed film after another. This is no exception.I really don't have much to say, the acting ranged from being dead on boring (the main character) to being so over the top, I felt like I was watching a cartoon (the mother), there were forced Christian themes (and this is coming from a Christian by the way. The plot was predictable from the opening credits to the end credits. I honestly can't even take away any positives. The film's characters are also so hollow, so one dimension that I felt that these were the draft of characters, not fully formed characters. Overall, Temptation is boring, predictable and is actually one of Tyler Perry's worst, and that is saying a lot.
jackfam58 This movie featured people who were basically social misfits. Judith was an accident waiting to happen. Her religious mother denied Judith a relationship with her father. Therefore she attached herself to the first man in her life, Brice. She expected him to be both husband and father. When Brice seemingly took her for granted she becomes confused. She was perfect prey for the con-artist Harley. We find out that Harley's mother left him in a crack house. Thus he never respected women. That's why he slept around giving women HIV. His riches provided him more access to new victims. Brice loved Judith enough to save her from Harley but it was too late. As a health care professional he know the risk of contracting HIV so he bounced. My only issue with the movie is it features a broken down Judith limping into the drugstore to face the same man who she betrayed. Most people living with HIV do not look run down and sickly. We have a 6'10 250 man who is one of the greatest basketball players ever. There are generations of people who do not even know he is HIV positive. But as a director, Tyler Perry is a very spiritual man. It comes out in all his movies. Jurnee Smollett made this movie worth watching. She is one of the most beautiful yet under rated actresses in Hollywood. I have watched this movie several times just to see her face.
juneping the movie was quite beautifully made, so i gave a three star and the story line was quite a surprise at the end even though everything else was very predictable. the Judith character just doesn't make sense. i don't know what got into the mind of the story write or does/he know how a woman with ambition of her career just doesn't turn into a crack-head in a few days. why someone with that kind of ambition becomes an drug user within just a few days. if she was Ava to begin with...then the whole story line really make sense. or maybe the movie should say Judith had a bipolar disorder. the whole story line was so make believe without really understand what it takes to be successful. and who on earth would expect their career to take off after working less than 3 years? she supposedly to have a master degree, so she went to college and go straight to graduate school that's totally 6 years. 18+6= 24 years old. did the write know how long does it take to get a master degree. if she's in her mid 30s then this would have made a whole lot more sense. i am convinced the story write got no education at all. and the billionaire - he's a billionaire so he could afford to invest in the matchmaker and Judith's career. it's not like he's buying a huge piece of land in Manhattan and build a 100 story high rise. it seems like this movie is made for someone who doesn't have any sense of how this world work or grew up in a desert island.and why most of T.Perry's movies are about women betraying their husbands for a rich man????
Dani Korkegi I have really enjoyed Tyler Perry's movies, to this point. They've been entertaining without requiring much, if any, soul-searching or introspection. Sheer entertainment and the 'good guy' always prevails. But this one left me numb as well as absolutely and utterly down. If I had wanted a sermon, I'd have gone to church. If I wanted a dose of reality, I'd just watch all around me. I watch movies to 'clear my head'; not to learn or witness painful lessons. Enough of those in the real world. Very disappointing.Agreed that Kim Kardashian did nothing for the movie or me. Only solidified my thinking that she's not terribly talented but definitely superficial. The role, in that respect, was right on the money. I'm sure Kim must have some positive characteristics. Acting is not one of them. And to have Vanessa Williams speak with a hideous French accent (I am French) was just another thorn in the side.I won't give up on Tyler Perry but will certainly check reviews before I watch another. This was 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.
