TinsHeadline Touches You
Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Moody Moppet Sound of My Voice is a low budget film ($135,000) that completely did the trick. The story's ingenious and controverts between truthfulness and the art of persuasion while blending a thrilling psychology and Science Fiction with mild strokes of Romance. The film was highly flattered by film critics and received high praises mainly for making the most with little means. The cast, mostly unknowns, is exquisitely picked and the soundtrack is flawless, particularly the ending track of Hot Chip's Thieves in the Night. Brit Marling is a PERFECT Maggie! She also co-wrote and produced Sound of My Voice alongside director Zal Batmanglij and has a refreshing appearance that keeps you mesmerized throughout the film. I love her.The film has a grasping climax that leaves you open mouthed and still thinking about it after. I went through the entire roller feeling restless and pondering. I love to watch it every now and then.
daisukereds ** This review may contain spoilers for a movie that might not even be worth watching.Filled with dull and slow scenes. There was one I had to speed up because I knew exactly how it would end, and what I didn't know wasn't that interesting. This movie can be resumed in a sentence. A woman that claims comes from the future might be telling the truth, the end. There is nothing in between that is worth talking about, nothing stands out. The premise and the idea have been done properly in other movies. This isn't a must watch by any means. Doesn't answer questions, and worse of all, doesn't really leave you with anything. It isn't even interesting.
gkergh This indie film, despite its flaws, including some annoyingly uninspiring cult indoctrination moments and the sub-Lost-non-ending ending, which leaves space for weirdos to interpret as a suggestion that cults aren't really just trying to steal your money and indoctrinate you into doing something stupid like kill yourself in tennis shoes, actually kept me excited to the very "end." I'm interested in seeing what these folks can come up with next time. The story was mostly good, and the production, even for a low budget film, was beautiful. I just hope they can resolve something in their next piece.
Chris Hartman Let me begin by saying the movie was great throughout. It's original, thought provoking, and you are always suspenseful throughout the whole movie, guessing as to what could come next. For the budget it was made on, the movie looked quite professional, with great acting as well. But one of the big problems I noticed people had with this film was the plot holes, the missing details. Luckily, these aren't huge gaping holes that make the main story confusing, just details like why the child was acting so strange. There are two ways you could look at this though. You could see it as the directors being lazy and not explaining everything, or you could see it as the directors purposely leaving out those details, making you actively think about the video. I tend to think the latter, especially in this case. People said that inception was confusing too, but that's what made it so much better then your average movie. Rarely does a flick ever come along that makes you think instead on just passively watching a TV screen, and this is one of them.
