Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Raymond Sierra The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
restord This looked like it was going to be an okay watch. I was expecting something along the lines of "Don't be a Menace" or the Friday trilogy but this sadly was way below par. The acting was unconvincing despite featuring the likes of Kevin Hart, Mike Epps, George and Katt Williams. The plot could have worked out a whole lot better and the casting of the main characters also sucked. Really not sure what Amber Rose was doing in high school movie as a student. The high points of the movie for me were the musical performances and the dance routines. Other than that I really want to forget everything about this movie. I really hope Nick Cannon's next attempt at directing will be a whole lot better than this.
missmarch75 Nick Cannon really outdone himself on this teen comedy! I wish I had lived my high school years like this, because I would be laughing non-stop! LOL! From Mike Epps as Principal Rogers, Luenell as the gun-toting, foul- mouthed, and STILL CARRYING Sky-Tel pagers Mama Tawanna! Katt Williams and Kevin Hart, who light up rooms with their presence, no matter where they go! The humor of this movie was 100%! It didn't come to the movie theaters here on the east coast, so I saw it on Pay-Per-View. I'm sure if it did, teens would love it! I'm 39, and this movie had me laughing all the way through it! I will definitely purchase this on DVD when it comes out, because it takes me back to my high school days, which are the best days of your life. Nick Cannon, I give you a thumbs up on this one!
DaTruth510 This movie was very funny to me i'm so shocked at the rating and disappointed. Yes the plot was simple and silly but most comedies these days are. This movie reminded me of a Friday movie in so many ways(even some of the characters had the same names) but with High School kids, but they did their thing and carried the movie well and and the veterans were just side characters but really took over when they were on camera Mike Epps, Kevin Hart, Affion Crockett, Katt Williams all did their thing in this movie and were hilarious. The music and the dancing also added a another piece to it and it was all songs i've never heard but were jamming i really liked it.Can't understand why black comedies get such a low rating it really sucks i'm not going into detail about that and just keep it light, but i found it way funnier than some bigger budget box office movies. But yeah if you like movies like Friday, Napoleon Dynamite, and Superbad with real funny characters and silly plots you should like this
jarrell123 Nick Cannon had the opportunity to create a cult classic film but completely dropped the ball. As a fan of urban comedies, I admire the effort but the film is completely lacking in so many areas and the laughs are not consistent. The funniest actors throughout the film are Kevin Hart and Kat Williams, sadly they are only in like 4 scenes combined. Mike Epps had funny situations but he wasn't as funny as the other two. The rest of the cast seemed to be reading their lines straight from the script instead of acting. There is a ton of eye candy throughout the film but it just looks like Nick hired the "Wild'n Out" girls, instead of trying to cast real actresses. Other than that the film was obviously ripped off from other lovable urban cult classics such as "Friday", and "Don't be a Menace". The worst part of all is that the dialog cut out on one of the most climactic scenes which is the talent show. Now I'm hoping that this was just a glitch seeing as I ordered the film on VOD but the primary dialog completely cuts out and all I heard for 10 minutes were the background vocals (which leads me to believe that they just screwed up the final edit). The music videos through out the film started to become annoying as well. It seemed like they were randomly filling in for lack of story. It is great that Nick was able to pull together all of his comedic friends that we most likely wouldn't other wise see together in one film, but this could of been so much better.
