Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
TheLittleSongbird Not since Vampegeddon a couple of weeks back, have I seen a movie with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Scarecrow Slayer is a truly abysmal movie that makes a waste of a decent idea. Even Nicole Kingston's sexiness can save it. It is very difficult to begin with a starting point, but I think I'll start with the acting. It is really atrocious, Tony Todd- who was brilliant in Candyman- is far too over-the-top but he still manages to be the best actor in the entire movie. Everybody else couldn't act if their life depended on it. In all fairness though, a lot of things hold them back. The characters are never developed and are little more than obnoxious stereotypes. They are also made to utter some of the most terrible dialogue I have ever heard in my life, every line is clichéd and has no believability to it. It also feels very cheesy and stilted. The story did have potential because of its idea but the result is completely unoriginal and the opening is overlong and too drawn out. The storytelling is really predictable with a lot of things that didn't make sense(how a bumblebee was suddenly able to work was just one of them). It also has no excitement or any kind of suspense or terror that rings true. True there are some really interesting ideas with the deaths, but it is wasted by the complete lack of any atmosphere. As well as some really hackneyed photography and editing that makes some of the action incomprehensible. And few movies I've seen recently have had special effects as awful as these, you are laughing at how stupid they look. And I am not just talking about the rival scarecrow. Overall, makes many other terrible movies look good, well and truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. 0/10 Bethany Cox
ktgames Oh my GOD! I actually like crappy horror movies, I go out of my way to get them, but THIS.... THIS went too far into the deep realm of low budget film making.THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS VERY MILD SPOILERS OK, I watched this film for about half an hour before thinking, "Why am I watching this crap?" And completely domalishing this "Movie". I'm just curious, was I the only one who almost died laughing at the bullet "effect"? It looked like an 8 year old drew a circle, made it gradually shrink, and then make the screen tint random colors for a few minutes... Wait... that IS what happened! The Original wasn't bad. I managed to watch it all the way through. It was actually decent. But man... This was completely terrible. PLEASE listen to me, DO NOT RENT/BUY THIS!!! DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT I DID!!!! Thanks for your time that you could have spent watching the first 2 minutes of this film, realizing that I was so right.
Matthew Surprenant I can honestly say I liked the first 5 minutes or so. After the first three deaths it turned to crap. It was so crappy I was laughing hysterically. The final battle...oh man....that was just funny! This is in no way a good film. The WORST $5 bin buy ever (keep in mind I got BOTH films on the disk). Sorry, but it was bad. At least it had some decent drama, which the first lacked. The scarecrow was a bit more sadistic, but still not enough. If you watch it, do it with friends and intend to make fun of it. It looks like the special effects crew consisted of a 15 year old with a Mac computer who just had to test out its video capabilities. I'm literally grinning just thinking back on the "cut-in-half" and and "holding the scarecrow" parts. WWWOOOOAAAAHHHHHAAAAAHAHAAAAHHHAHAAAA, next time get more than one good cast member and a avoid digital effects!
Serial_Artist First of all there are good movies, bad ones, and those in between...this falls in the bad category. The plot is as wobbly as a bowl of Jello... it falls apart from the very start. Tony Todd the veteran actor whom portrayed CANDYMAN is the only well known here and is also an associate producer of the film. With this film I think Todd jumped into a pool of sharks, so to speak as this is the worst movie he has been involved in yet.Complete with bad acting and faces you'll soon forget, this film has all the things that equal bad. The Scarecrow costume by Todd Rex returns and so does he as the Scarecrow...but this time, it doesn't seem so cool anymore as it did in "Scarecrow" The blood and CGI is some of the worst in film history, I had thought i'd seen bad but certainly not as bad as this. The only face i'd like to remember from this is Tamie Sheffield, as she is beautiful and was once a pro wrestler by the name of "Sandy" in the all female federation WOW. She has since starred in movies such as Jim Wynorski's CHEERLEADER MASSACRE.As for Tony Todd, I certainly hope he can resurrect his career to what it once was I hear there's a 3rd film...i'm almost afraid to check it out.Rick Blalock
