Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Taraparain Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
zexionfangirl I saw this movie in Discovering language class in school. Not a very good movieNow Mary Kate and Ashley. They are not horrible actresses, but it's hard not to judge their acting when they've been acting since they were babies. The "Noooooooo" near the beginning of the movie is one example to show their acting ability. The stereotypes include the following: French/Foreign food is disgusting, French boys are all gentlemen and hot, male French adults are all snobs. On the bright side, at least everyone didn't wear berets. Speaking of the French boys, their relationship with the girls was either creepy because they were driving mopeds and you have to be 15 or older to drive a moped in France,(the main characters are 12, or barely 13, I can't quite remember) or not researched and the French boys were 13. Also the ending, where one of the boys kissed one of the girls, that was cliché, expected, and if the creators did do the research, creepy.Cliché, dumb, stereotypical, and bad acting.
KevinB12 I have seen this movie and I did not care for this movie anyhow. I would not think about going to Paris because I do not like this country and its national capital. I do not like to learn french anyhow because I do not understand their language. Why would I go to France when I rather go to Germany or the United Kingdom? Germany and the United Kingdom are the nations I tolerate. Apparently the Olsen Twins do not understand the French language just like me. Therefore I will not bother the France trip no matter what. I might as well stick to the United Kingdom and meet single women and play video games if there is a video arcade. That is all.
treehuggingnut OK I watched this movie. Someone needs to kick me. WHY must the Olsen twins insist on subjecting the world to this putrid torture? This was another movie of watching the Olsen twins travel to an exotic location, meet some cute guys, look pretty and have everyone drooling over them.the direction, the plot development, ugh the acting. i don't know about the U.S., but in my country it is considered extremely stupid to hop onto the bike of a guy u met like,10 minutes back. though i'm now convinced that these girls will never learn to act, i really hope that one day we'll get to watch a movie with an original, even slightly plausible plot.
sukapesta I've watched this movie a few times and it just gets worse every time. At first I thought this movie was... cute. I mean the twins' clothes weren't so bad. The guys are quite fortunate-looking, lousy accent aside, though I cannot understand what these seemingly normal boys see in those two self-centered, shallow, spoiled brats. Anyway the Olsen twins acted horrendously as expected. However in this Olsen movie, and, I've noticed, the ones after, BOTH of the girls are bimbos wearing too much make-up and drooling over boys. Previously one of them would have a grungier style and a clearer conscience. Like all Olsen movies, the plot is predictable and the twins managed to save themselves and in this case the rest of France. I really don't recommend watching it more than once, especially if you're not into family movies.
