UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
bluumaxxx Surprise how much I've enjoyed this movie. Love the story and the actors did a great job! Very well put together I saw nothing cheap about it just a well written love story, the director should be very proud of this piece of art.
Stephanie-N I originally found this film because of the director's youtube channel (The Receptionist.) I watched it back in 2010, and the film has always stuck with me ever since. It's funny, it's original, and the writing was terrific. The character's kept on surprising me, and the plot had the perfect amount of twists. I feel like most people don't give the film a chance because of the low budget, but it gave the film a unique feel. The sets were very limited, and not the best quality, but it made you like the film even more. The movie was great on it's own merit, with no fancy frills to distract you from the writing. Over-all I would say it is definitely the time.
Mike Barnes Lo is more than just good. It's a masterpiece. There's something so strange and satisfying about this smart and clever little film. The plot is simple. Boy meets girl. girl gets kidnapped by demon. Guy teams up with different demon to get girl back.Sounds basic, but it works and the narrative is surprisingly rather complex and undeniably entertaining. This is a movie that will (or at least should) go down as a cult classic like Donnie Darko or the Rocky Horror picture show. It just goes to show that movies don't need massive budgets to be good. Just a good script...and $40.
Tim McGahren The movie follows the interaction of a man looking for the demon he loved who had been dragged to hell, and will do anything in his power to have her back. But he does not and never knew who she really was. The film is more about obsession and duplicity than it is about love. A lot of reviewers here may not like the film, but I found it to be quite a good use of space, presentation and story. It reminded me of college theater (I know many will take offense at that statement), and although I agree they story was watery at times, the feel of it was quite novel. I recommend it because I truly enjoyed it for what it was, because it has it's own place and time.I especially liked the parts with the little stage show, the author's writing of how these entities think and truly are, and how the demons mocked the protagonist.
