Lawbolisted Powerful
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
jacky4 This (Kyun? Ho Gaya Na)has got to be one of the BEST Bollywood Romantic Comedies ever! The story line is great and it's great to see Aishwarya in a modern role and she look Hot as usual. The acting by all was great and NOT over done. The perfect amount of comedy, romance, emotions and backdrops. The appearances by A. Bachchan and Suniel Shetty is great!!! Music is good too. Aish and Vivek seem to work well together with the perfect type and amount of chemistry needed for this movie. The ending has a great little twist that just makes the movie soar expectations. Ignore what the critics have said against it and judge it for yourself. I definitely recommended for any day of the week!
Pankratz If you're expecting an epic like Devdas, well, this movie will disappoint you. But if you're just looking for a nice romantic comedy to pass the time, then this movie will do just that. It's delightful and charming, and will pull on your heartstrings at the right times too. Aishwarya Rai is stunningly beautiful as usual and she gives her character, Diya the right amount of vulnerability. Vivek Oberoi is endearing throughout the whole film. The strongest part of the film is the beginning, in my opinion. It progresses the fastest and most of the comedy is found there. I found the second half of the movie to be a bit slower. But don't worry, it's not slow enough to make your interest wane. Also, as a bonus, Amitabh Bachchan makes his appearance in the second half. Although the second half slows down a bit like I mentioned, it does lead up very well to the ending. I don't understand some of the comments made that Vivek and Aishwarya have no chemistry because I thought they had it in spades. Where this film succeeds is through the characters. The movie makes you care for them, and when they're happy, you're happy, and when they're sad, you're heartbroken for them. I highly recommend this film.
mamlukman The songs were certainly better than average. Aishwarya looked more gorgeous than usual--which is saying a lot. My only complaint is that the director cuts away from the women too much/too fast! A good example is the "no no" song at the beginning, where Ash is with two other beauties in a very cute sequence--but they keep cutting away! Come on, guys, give them at least 10 seconds on screen at a time!! And in the "making of" part of the DVD no one comments on the Russian theme--were the composers really unaware of that? They compared it to Broadway, but that only makes sense if it's Broadway Moscow. Not that that's bad, but just curious they didn't mention it.No chemistry? The same could be said for a lot of movies--you look at the guy being a jerk and you think, "What could she see in him?" But if you just accept it as a movie, it's OK. At least in this movie Diya gives up and goes home and makes Arjun chase her--so she has some sense!The Amitabh/orphanage plot seems to drop out of nowhere--it's certainly not clear from the opening scene that Diya lives/works at an orphanage, but you can see that later. Another few seconds at the beginning setting that up would have been a big help. But Amitabh was certainly funny, and the whole practical joke story line is necessary to set up the ending.
