Siflutter It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
TheExpatriate700 Feed is a disturbing psychological thriller which combines gruesome special effects with unsettling character studies of both its protagonist and its villain. What could easily have been a lame "shock" movie revolving around the feeder fetish becomes a compelling thriller. The film opens with an Australian police officer on an internet detail exposing an Armin Meiewes type case of cannibalism-shown in borderline nauseating detail. He soon latches onto another case as he finds a site showing morbidly obese women being fed for sexual gratification. He soon grows obsessed with the site, suspecting something far more sinister than fetish porn. The film succeeds largely on the strength of Alex O'Laughlin's performance as Michael, the man running the site. He makes a disturbingly convincing sociopath. The police officer is also a disturbing character, with the film exploring what the clichéd "rogue cop" character would be like in the real world. The performances are complemented by excellent and disgusting special effects. The film suffers from a weak, unrealistic ending that raises too many questions. Still, if you have a strong stomach, Feed is well worth watching.
ZombieSteak .com This was an interesting, disgusting and strange film. This film tells the story of a serial killer with a fetish for obese women who force feeds them and takes bets online as to when they will die. What I thought interesting about this film was that even though this guy was obviously insane and he's sole goal was to kill these woman he had such a love and tenderness for them. He spoiled them with everything they desired, he washed them tenderly, entertained them by being silly, there was no end to what he would do for these women. Of course, with his dark side there were some times where he would snap and since the women loved him so much they would do anything for him, even if it meant being in a lot of pain and feeling sick.I enjoyed this movie and lots of credit for being original. I also have to add that this movie has a kick ass ending as well! ZombieSteak.com - Discover a new world of horror films, designed just for you.
BA_Harrison Charming sociopath Michael Carter (Alex O'Loughlin) operates FeederX.com, a website that allows users to place bets on when they think gluttonous women will keel over from being overfed. As Michael strives to get his latest lard-assed lady, Deidre (Gabby Millgate) to pile on the pounds and pop her clogs, psychologically damaged cyber-crime cop Phillip Jackson (Patrick Thompson) attempts to stop the loony using whatever means necessary. If, like me, you've a craving for weird and perverse cinema, then you'll no doubt be licking your lips at the thought of Feed, which from the plot summary, sounds like a satisfying smörgåsbord of sadistic delights. Although far from wholesome, the ingredients are certainly extremely tempting: IMDb plot keywords include cannibalism, vomit, rough sex, torture, porn, starvation, and gluttony. Yummy!Unfortunately, Australian director Brett Leonard's recipe calls for his potentially mouthwatering movie to be aggressively seasoned with over-stylised directorial and editing techniques (a pet hate of mine), peppered with implausible moments that stick in the throat (would a cop really drink a coffee given to him by a killer?), and topped off with a silly ending—all of which prevent the film from being wholly gratifying. It's a shame, because with a little more thought and care during preparation, this could easily have become Leonard's signature dish. Those who do decide to tuck in will have to make do with savouring the film's tastier morsels: the solid central performances from O'Loughlin, Thompson, and especially Millgate, who has to act from under a ton of realistically fleshy make-up; the gratuitous nudity from Jackson's gorgeous nympho girlfriend; the genuinely nauseating scenes of force-feeding (which are made even worse when it is revealed what is being served up!); and a few choice chunks of meaty gore. All this delectable deviancy definitely makes the film worth watching, but I doubt you'll go back for seconds.6.5 out of 10, very generously rounded up to 7 for IMDb.
pigeonfighters This film was so terrible that i actually couldn't bear it any longer, i turned it off. I'm not sure why this film has so many good reviews and an overall above average score, but if you thought it was terrible, your not alone. The acting was awful, the low budget look didn't help and the dialogue seemed to of been written by a child. The soundtrack also seemed completely out of place as they tried to squeeze as many death metal songs in, in an attempt to improve this terrible film i can only assume. What else was wrong with it? Well, what was right with it. A good idea has been sabotaged in a terrible attempt to create what i can only assume was meant to be a film? A plus side of it is, i guess, it gave off a good vibe and i was intrigued, until i turned it on.The premise of the film seemed promising but it failed to deliver and after a while i gave in and turned it off.
