Synopsis

A fictional investigative documentary looks back on the "assassination" of George W. Bush and attempts to answer the question of who committed the murder. Perhaps less morbid and disturbing to watch now than during Bush's presidency, the film doesn't address Bush's policies at all, instead focusing on the way a nation assigns blame in a time of crisis.

Alicia I love this movie so much
BoardChiri Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
enchantee4ever This film is so wrong on so many levels, it's not even funny. This is the most disgusting display of hatred and bigotry. I literally feel like throwing up. There is no point to this film. It is a wet dream for haters of President Bush. I am all for expression in art, and this is not art. It's a waste of 2 million dollars. The fact that it only brought in 167,000 says it all. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat, and I find this waste of film pure and utter trash. Hate is ugly. and that's one word I'd use to describe death of a president. (doesn't even deserve to be capitalized)If you hate President Bush, that's your issue. Talk amongst your little friends who think Hillary will be a *FABULOUS* president *gag me*. Say what you want...but when you go as far as doing a film about the murder of a President of the United States, you're crossing the line of decency. Oh, I can just imagine the protesters in droves coming out to bash any film maker of a film depicting the assassination of Obama. God forbid that - then it would be racist this racist that. Please. It's not right to make this trashy film about any president, former or present.I hope the people involved in making this asinine excuse for a film, get some psychological help.
Enchorde Recap: A false documentary about the events leading up to and afterwards the (fictitious) assassination of the president G W Bush.Comments: This is a very well made docudrama or mockumentary, if you like. But to make everything clear, it is not mocking or funny in any way. Instead it is very serious, and very much like an investigating documentary produced by a major network, all the way to the notes in the end credits. It is a mix of interviews, archive footage and "live" coverage from the event and feeds from surveillance cameras. The result is that it feels like you watch a documentary from an event that actually happened (even though you know it haven't), in other words, it is very plausible. And that raises an interesting question, almost like a sidetrack. It really exposes the power that media has, if something so blatantly false can be made so believable. It is also an interesting comment on our real world and society and what has developed since 9/11. Patriot Act is an integral part (and hence other security measures introduced) and so is the tension in our society between groups with different beliefs. In all it is a very effective comment of our own society, and a very touching one. I made sure not to miss a moment, and it was very entertaining, even though it was a "documentary", and a false one at that.I am impressed.8/10
daveycaspian Firstly I should state that I am no fan of George W. Bush and in fact think he is probably the worst president of the past 30 years. I also do not find the film's subject matter "disgusting." People in the U.S. and elsewhere are free to make a movie exploring the effects of an assassination on George W. Bush or any other public figure. And Americans shouldn't be so hasty to lambaste something since they only bring more attention to it by doing so. With that said: this movie is terrible. It does not belong in a theater; it is a film that screams loudly it was made to be viewed on the internet, or at best as a made-for-TV movie. It is not only poorly made but also unprofessional. It is a fictional movie presented in a realistic manner, yet it comes nowhere near convincing the viewer to take it seriously. The story is poorly told: the movie attempts to lay itself out as a documentary, yet all the while knows itself to be a work of fiction. There are plot twists and severe dramatic elements, neither of which belong in a documentary, which presents solely the facts. The style of the film is terrible; from obviously photo shopped images of interviewed actors appearing with the President, to lame mock-ups of anti-Bush protests, the movie consistently comes across as childish and amateur. The worst part of the film is probably the actors who are interviewed, each one is terrible in their own unique way. And then of course the movie's liberal slant is presented about as subtly as a Dick Cheney gunshot to the face. The movie is not worth seeing, but not because of its controversial subject matter. It is simply a poorly made film that hinges its entire presentation on its controversial statement. It will disappear, as well as it should, from memory and fade into notoriety.
jano_rajmond This movie should be a wake-up call to President George W. Bush and to all American citizens sympathizing him as well. This fictional documentary presents the investigations that followed after the murder of George W. Bush on October 19, 2007.But truth to be told, the only thing imaginary and set in the future is the murder of the President. Everything else presented in the movie - the investigation, the use of force by the police, the violation of civil rights, the racial profiling of the investigators, the pressure of linking the murder to Al Quaida or Syria, the false conviction of a man under the pressure of President Cheney, the Patriot Act III - all of these are the harsh reality of today's USA.There is no need for October 17 to come... because all of these are already here.
