Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Michael Ledo Unless you have the IQ of a turnip, you already know this series is fake. However, the producers in their wisdom have decided if they can cut off more heads with bad camera angles and implore worse sound they might still convince us of the reality of this film. If you go on U-Tube or watch the amateur submissions to some America's video TV show, you will see that we are better photographers than this series makes us out to be.In the beginning, Hunter is kidnapped as an infant. We then jump to 5 years later. The film starts out mostly of a young male filming a teen female (Kathryn Newton). She has a younger brother Wyatt (Aiden Lovekamp). When Robbie (Brady Allen)the creepy young boy next door shows up with his imaginary friend weird things begin to happen. Alex, our teen girl allows the young man (Matt Shively) to set up cameras around the house to film the weird things that are going on and to cut off everyone's head. While weird things were caught on camera, they never went back to view the films which was the whole purpose of setting up the cameras in the first place.Special effects, and by by "special" I mean ride the short bus special, included the chandelier moving, doors opening, chairs moving, covers coming off, and a bad levitation scene. No pool crawler getting out of the pool by itself. This was by far the least of the series. If you were a big fan of the other three, you might find enjoyment in this one as this is upgraded to color. These films are cheap to make and pay for themselves in the opening weekend. Don't expect the franchise to go away anytime soon. Kathryn Newton did a good job in spite of the script and horrible camera shooting.Parental Guide: F-bomb, C-blocking. No sex or nudity.
Jade McPherson Great instalment in the Paranormal Activity series. I personally like it just as much as the first three films but it is the first one that doesn't have the sisters (Katie or Christie) as the main character, this one moves to the next generation with Hunter. The movie contains are the familiar Paranormal Activity quirks including jumps and frights and home-video style camera work - the things that characterise the Paranormal Activity films.Great, scary, worth a watch.
Nega_Tanvi I've seen a lot horror and this was by the worst one ever ! No jump scares.. literally nothing happens in the movie and it's all too predictable. It was so dull, I nearly fell asleep ; And I was watching alone! I get that main leads are teens but the line were absolutely cringe-worthy. Considering the first Paranormal activity was my favorite, this was an absolute disappointment , I wish they hadn't made any sequel at all..I think i'm being lenient with the 4. There was no conclusion to the story and No definite supernatural reason as to why any thing happened over the 4 movies, just hints (Not enough to figure the whole thing out). There was nothing in this movie to like. SAD!
jacobjohntaylor1 You have to be scared of your own shadow to be scared of your own shadow to be scared off this movie. Most of it is just bad actors screaming in the dark. Good special effects but by the time you see something there is less then a minute left. The story line is awful. The ending is awful. In the 80's and 90's They made horror movies really scary. Now they just make horror movie to scary people who are scared of there own shadow. There a lot of horror movies from the 79's that are scary. The early exorcist movies are very scary. The late exorcist movies are scarier. Those are best of the new horror movies. But to many horror movie made now a days that are just made scary people you are scared of there own shadow this movie not scary it is very lame.
