AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Cooktopi The acting in this movie is really good.
SnoopyStyle Thomas Fuentes (Eduardo Verástegui) has been adored by women all his life. He's in Los Angeles with girlfriends stashed around the country. Lorena Morales (Roselyn Sanchez) is a bespectacled high-powered Chicago lawyer. Cici (Sofía Vergara) is a possessive cocktail waitress in Miami. Patricia Sofia Ordonez Coronado del Pescador (Jaci Velasquez) is a high maintenance debutante from the New York area. Thomas is feeling the relationship pressures and is passing out. The girls all decide to travel to surprise him in L.A. They are shocked to find each other at his house. FBI agent Carmen Rivera (Lisa Vidal) has followed Cici who is driving a car for her friend's boyfriend. It's a broad jiggle-fest latino screwball comedy. It fails to deliver any compelling characters. The actresses are top level latina hotties but they come off as one-dimensional soap opera characters. The guy is even worst. He's a hunky dud. He's pretty to look at but empty inside. If the intention is a T&A B-movie, this can be excused. It's supposed to be a comedy and that's not going to work. The characters are annoying. The situations are silly. There is nothing funny or fun. It's a sad waste of talent and too tiresome to watch.
jackkentclrk I admit that when I first heard of this movie starring Sofi'a , I wanted to see Sofi'a topless or in lace nightgowns..but that changed when I watched this movie.. I was familiar with Roselyn's work (Boat Trip,Rush Hour 2)and this was the 1st time I saw Jaci. Like with most of the fans of this movie,I fairly enjoyed it,as a guy -I enjoyed the eye-candy..Especially Sofi'a,even though she emulated that "cuchi-cuchi" Charo style, with her comical antics and Sofi'a over doing her hot and sexy colombian accent!! Because this movie was directed by a woman, this was a light screwball comedy..the story was simple, the comedy tame, lot of silly cliché's(especially for Sofi'a)and the acting was OK,though I was surprised at Sofi'a's comedy timing, since she never had any training at acting!!I don't know if this movie would have been better if a man directed this, his perspective. But because I enjoyed watching Sofi'a working off on the other Latina's,in all their sexiest,I could bare to watch this over again!!!
mitru Sooo cute! The plot was adorable, the cast, well at least the ladies, were absolutely stunning. I mean... god, I'd see it again just to see Roselyn Sanchez, Jaci Velasquez, and Sophia Vergaro running around half naked. Mmmmmm... Que Rico. Go see it. The critics hated it. I thought it was adorable. I recommend it... and the girls are drop dead gorgeous.
BigVash I rented this movie last week and I thought it was pretty good. The three female leads in the film were beautiful. The movie had a few laughs but some of the actors could've been funnier, like D.L. Hughley. If any of you have seen any of his stuff you know he could've been funnier in this film. I know exactly what Tomas was going through in the movie so his character kind of hit close to home. It was great to see Paul Rodriguez in this movie as he had me laughing my butt off the time he was on screen. Overall I thought it was pretty good but this movie was played a little too safe. The plot about the money in the car and the ending where they learned that they don't need a man and become independent are basic but enjoyable. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a good movie to watch. Guys will dig it and so will the girls. I would definitely watch it again, maybe buy it.
