Synopsis

A two disc amalgam of the final performances of 2001's Madison Square Gardens performances by one of the greatest bands in the world of some of the greatest music in the world. The atmosphere positively floods out of the screen to envelop you and the hairs on your neck will be standing on end before the first note has been struck. After watching this you'll believe that The Boss is incapable of putting a foot wrong. By the end, he's only just short of defying gravity.

TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Prismark10 The E Street Band fizzled out after the Human Rights Now tour in 1989. After working solo and with other performers, Bruce released an anthology of unreleased/outtakes Tracks album in 1998 and reunited with the band for a world tour. The final two shows formed part of this concert film. In a way this was a celebration of the bands music from the early days to the Born in the USA era and a few songs from Tracks and some new material including (American Skin) 41 shots which was a controversial song choice dealing with race, brutality and the US police. The concert is the band together again, enjoying themselves and at its pomp. The band would come together and make a new album, but this concert marks the celebration of an era of a band before they got back to start another phase of their story with The Rising.
NapoleonX A two disc amalgam of the final performances of 2001's Madison Square Gardens performances by one of the greatest bands in the world of some of the greatest music in the world. The atmosphere positively floods out of the screen to envelop you and the hairs on your neck will be standing on end before the first note has been struck. After watching this you'll believe that The Boss is incapable of putting a foot wrong. By the end, he's only just short of defying gravity. This trumps just about every other concert ever, Woodstock, Glastonbury, Live Aid, nothing feels like this. As Springsteen himself acknowledges during the show this is not just music. This is religion.
herr_skugga86 Bruce Springsteen, the maestro of rock. Estreet Band, the backbone of the bosses rock. This dvd feautres the last two concerts on their reunion tour, held at Madison Square Garden. This is a touching concert with Bruce & the Band. When they burst into laughter & tears you can't help the enormous smile inserted in your face. The bells are sometimes replaced with screaming guitars with make some songs a little bit more stiff but that's only a minor quibble. Most of the versions here are great. The River, Born to Run & Tenth Avenue Freeze Out are truly amazing. If you want your moneys worth you have to got this dvd, one of the best musical-dvds out there. Long live the boss!
Will-34 excellent concert movie, stunning performance sound and vision. lets see more music with this much care. Let hope the archives are being trawled. Will
