Reviews

Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Candida It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
kols Can't see how this could have been better; seen it twice and it just keeps growing on me.As the negative reviews show, not for everyone and, at first, thought it wasn't for me either. I surfed into it during a particularly gory scene that seemed totally senseless and pointless but kept watching and soon realized I was watching a live-action Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner/Pepe le Pew cartoon. Judged as such, it's very nearly perfect.There are tons and tons of antecedents, from Chaplin (the shoe eating scene in Goldrush) to 1000 Corpses, spanning the gauntlet of of genres (echos of Mildred Pierce and Johnny Belinda; Noir crime; Slasher movies, etc.) and yet unique and fresh to itself.The positive reviews cite chapter and verse to which I have little to add, or a lot to add relative to every precedent I've detected so far, but why get all pedantic? If you get it, this is a gem of a movie that makes roller-coaster movies like Speed look lame and Slasher movies lamer. Just plain fun to watch.
atinder This movie should be renamed as Bonkers, as this was one hell of a bonkers movie.The start of the movie, starts of like a crime a movie first, (You know different the start of from dusk till dawn to the second part of movie)Ritchie had a job to do but after talking to his Boss (Who was not happy, Sent him to Russia.Here is a Quote from someone in the movie here Dmitry: I don't want to know your handle! Just listen! I got on this lift, and you're thinking, 'Hmm, normal passengers, ground floor please.' No, three of them had done a robbery and the rest of us were hostages. And things have changed since then, some of the hostages have taken over! Yeah, they tried to sacrifice me! Come back robbers, all is forgiven! And before I forget, there's also this psycho definite sex-criminal nut-job running around cutting people's heads off! I haven't had a chance to talk to him yet but I'm sure I will later. That will explain how bonkers this movie real is!This movie was a lot fun to watch, there are some really funny moment (Including giants rats scenes, and some what gory deaths which are really funny as well.There are few twist and Turns in this movie , which worked really well , acting from the whole cast was outstanding, which was really surprisingly for movie like this Really good 7 out of 10
BA_Harrison The title of this film presumably refers to the heist that goes disastrously wrong when professional thief Ritchie (Stephen Dorff) and his Russian cohorts run into some seriously messed-up characters, but it could just as easily be describing the manner in which every almost every aspect of this film has been handled. From the abysmal acting, to the dreadful dialogue, to the 'stylish' direction, ill-advised editing (including speeded-up Benny Hill style action), and pathetic attempts at off-beat humour, it is all seriously botched!Clearly, director Kit Ryan's intention was to create a totally bonkers cult comedy/horror that would become a midnight movie favourite amongst fans of insane cinema; his script, however, is woefully free of either laughs or scares, the zaniness feels incredibly forced, and virtually everyone on-screen gives a thoroughly cringe-worthy performance (with some of the worst Russian accents you're ever likely to hear!).Admittedly, the film does deliver quite a bit of fun gore (a bloody decapitation, a man cut in half, lots of mutilated bodies and assorted internal organs), and actress Jaime Murray is rather lovely to look at, but none of this changes the fact that Botched is a thoroughly inept and irksome mess—an embarrassment for all involved.
trashgang When I saw the cover on the DVD for the first time it didn't do anything, I thought it was on to throw away. Man, was I wrong. After seen some reviews it was time to watch it. Didn't watched the summary on the back of the DVD box so it came as a surprise. It starts off with a robbery and things get wrong when an accident occurred. Still nothing to mention, then the main lead got a new assignment, get a cross in Moscow. So far nothing happens, but what happens next is to say the least funny. But the fun ends when a hostage has to be released, things got wrong, and the blood flows, and it flows. Sometimes in a gory way because it's supposed to be a comedy. All actors are believable and they all have their failures to laugh about. Some viewers complained about the storyline but don't worry, even as it is a bit stupid it works really well, because at the end of the day, it's still a comedy. I've seen, and as you knew me, the uncut version. Go get yourself a copy, you will be surprised what goes wrong.
